So, historically, what has become of visiting teams taking the first game in a 7 game series?
The visiting team leading 1-0 has an all time record of 25-72 in GAME 2 or only 25%
Teams without homecourt advantage to start a series who take GAME 1 have a 55-42 record or 57% of these teams win the series.
So, statistically, the Houston Rockets have close to a 60% chance of winning this series (without taking all other variables into account)
That should put a smile on the faces of many Rockets fans. May that statistic hold true for us. However, Game 2 will probably be a Lakers victory, although I'm still feeling optimistic about it!
