Anyone remember playing Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots when you were a kid? You know the game where you throw punches at your opponent and try to knock his block off. I was at a store yesterday shopping for my nephew's 7th birthday and saw this game tucked away up on the top shelf. I couldn't believe it. I hadn't seen this game since I had one nearly 40 years ago. We played for hours!

I'm surprised it's still made ! I didn't have it but the neighbor kid did ! I had a pool/ ping pong table though, that was way more betterer !

A pool table trumps Roxy/ Sock's em' robots big time ! .... I called it First !

I had electric football. It was basically a vibrating piece of sheet metal with little plastic men scootin' around on it.

a few years ago we were at my uncle's house and we went into the garage and found some "Rock 'em" and we had a BLAST

my 7 y/o nephew LOVES "hungry hungry hippos" so i play that when he comes over - and in order to make it a learning experience for him - he had to count how many marbles each person had

growing up i also had:

Etch-a-Sketch
Nite Brite (put colored pegs in spots and it made for a cool design when you plugged it in - and it lit up)

but BY FAR the VERY BEST (at the time) Xmas gift we (bro/sis and i) ever got was when we got an Atari game set - we could plug into the TV and play games like Space Invaders, Donkey Kong and stuff like that. At that time - we were in heaven playing those games as well as "Pong"

and who can forget all the "great" games for the Commodore 64 computer :lolBIG:

I think they brought this back actually, it was off the shelf for years...like many retro toys, this past year it was Atari video games...imagine that, 'wanting' to be less modern!

Beg to differ, a CAT will NOT suffice!
