Some of college football's best rivalries have fallen by the wayside and it's a damn shame. The bickering and posturing between the schools makes me sick.

Texas vs Texas A&M (Texas' AD doesn't want to play A&M...he'd rather play North Texas)
Nebraska vs Oklahoma (One of the best rivalries in CFB history...good to see a home and home 2021 and 2022)
Penn State vs Pittsburgh (Paterno didn't want to play Pitt...four game revival 2016-2019 great to see)
Notre Dame vs Michigan (Great regional rivalry...Brady Hoke called ND "chickens" for dropping the game)
Missouri vs Kansas (Maybe not the high profile game...but two schools have played 120 times)

These games should be played every year...at least that's this CFB fan opinion. Bloody shame...............

Nebraska vs Oklahoma is the one I miss the most. As I was growing up Oklahoma and Nebraska played on Thanksgiving day and were often both ranked (18 times while both were in the top ten). In 1959 Nebraska broke Oklahoma's streak of 74 straight undefeated conference games. The 'Game of the Century' was played in 1971 and won by Nebraska 35 to 31. The pre-game hype was incredible - irresistible force meets immovable object, etc - and it completely lived up to the hype. After losing 6 yrs in a row to Oklahoma from 1972 to 1977 Nebraska finally broke through with a win in 1978. Their reward was to be faced with a rematch in the Orange Bowl, which of course they lost. Rematches should be outlawed - less incentive for the team that won the 1st time around. Many great memories and lots of heartbreak.

personally always loved the Pitt/State Penn game though usually my team came out on the losing end. looking forward to getting it back going in 2 years although the gap between the two programs is widening every day as Franklin is dominating PA recruiting while Chyrst and his staff get outworked for almost every great local talent.

looks like another heading to state college. this kid will be western PA's #1 recruit and perhaps all of PA's top player on offense. was likely coming down to Pitt, State Penn, and Michigan and Chyrst loses again....

WPIAL_Insider ‏@WPIAL_Insider 3m Woody High's Miles Sanders gets the WPIAL Class of 2016 off to an early start. He has just committed to Penn State

Agreed. Should never have been interrupted.

NORTHEN LOUISIANA TRAVESTY!!

La Tech and Louisiana Monroe are only 32 miles apart and do not play.

They should play each year for the Duck Dynasty Trophy......the swag for the winners would be 3 duck call devices per player

OOH, you think you are so high and mighty, LaTech....

Don't forget Holy War between BYU and Utah, great game every year now pretty much gone. Backyard brawl with Pitt-WVU was good one too. I will definitely miss Texas-A and M around Turkey day.

Bravo rickrock - ya gotta love it. Anyone who can express outrage that La Tech and La Monroe aren't meeting each year is alright in my book! That is what having a passion for college football will do to any of us otherwise sane human beings. We definitely need to get a petition drive started. Must be a conspiracy!
