WWE.com just posted breaking news that The Ultimate Warrior has passed away. This is crazy considering he just appeared at Wrestlemania & Monday Night Raw while looking just fine.

I thought it was quite odd they scheduled him to appear on Raw as they usually don't do that for any HOF inductees. Perhaps they knew he only had a short time to go?

The Ultimate Warrior has died ... this according to the WWE.

Warrior -- real name James Hellwig -- was a WWE legend ... and was one of the most iconic wrestlers of all time.

So far, the cause of Warrior's death is unclear. He was 54 years old.

Warrior was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before Wrestlemania XXX this weekend ... and last night, he made his first appearance on "Monday Night Raw" in years.

Triple H just tweeted, "Saddened to announce the passing of the Ultimate Warrior. Icon and friend. My sympathy to his wife Dana and his daughters."

Stephanie McMahon also tweeted, "<s>#</s>RIPUltimateWarrior Your strength of character is to be admired. There will never be anyone like you. Your spirit lives on in your family."

Hulk Hogan -- Warrior's greatest rival -- has also tweeted, "RIP WARRIOR. only love. HH"

WWE posted a message on the official website saying, "WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior. "

"Warrior began his WWE career in 1987 and quickly went on to become one of the biggest stars in WWE history. Warrior became WWE Champion at WrestleMania VI, defeating Hulk Hogan in an epic encounter. We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame and was also able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and Monday Night Raw to address his legions of fans."

"WWE sends its sincere condolences to Warrior’s family, friends and fans. Warrior was 54 and is survived by his wife Dana and his two daughters."

Such a shame. RIP. This is too surreal, considering he just appeared last night, and was seemingly in good health.

Btw, that Hogan/Warrior match from WM6 is my favorite WrestleMania main event of all-time.

Unreal....you never know when its time to go. Myself, I've been to 9 wakes the past 12 months. Cant take it much more. Had dreams I died and watched others die in separate plane crashes...

Theres no telling what kind of funk , fungus , or infection he might have contracted while in New Orleans. That city has to be the world capital for people with body odor and poor hygiene.

I wonder if he did a little partying after his return to WWE and maybe triggered a heart attack?

Still shocking to hear this news.

Do you ever say anything that isnt inaccurate or stupid?

You are in the slums of pittsburgh trying to sell soccer plays for 15 bucks. Nothing is more pathetic than service scum trying to beat gamblers for a few dollars.

Looking back at his appearance on Raw he looked awful. He is huffing and puffing walking down the ring. Poor guy. I wonder what he was feeling but he did look ill.
