And for all those thinking that the pace horses had excuses . Do not give it too much analysis. What this years crop did prove is there are no superstar 3yolds . EPICENTER AND ZANDON HAD ABLSOLUTLEY NO EXCUSES .
The real great racehorses can scorch those internal fractions and still come home with something in reserve , just go back and look at JUSTIFY'S pace #s for the derby . All the pundits speaking like CYBERNIFE AND ZOZOS AND MESSIER AND SMILE HAPPY ETC were comprimised by the pace . They were but not because of the pace , they just are not superstars to begin with . Food for thought going forward as all those triple crown horses will get alot of talk when we see them out in their next race .
MOE DONEGAL was getting a lot of attention?? so where was he with those splits , he realistcially had less than 5 percent chance to win as he was missing the number one (element) that hasn't won a derby in 120 years so how does he go off at 9-1 or so Goes to show you
where the narrative goes people go . Its too bad .
