Hockey totals available are Under 4 +115 and over 4.5 +135

I guess I would need to know what the odds are of the game landing on 4 to find out how many cents I need. I stand to side myself if it lands on 4 BUT 4 being an even number I stand a good chance of it being 2-2 which may promote a tie vs the goalie coming out at 3-1?

I guess I was just being lazy. I also don't look at playing the outside but was curious if anyone would give me an obvious answer.

Do I have a 40% chance of landing on 4? I should do my hockey homework I guess.

Bill- I don't have any math to back up my answer but I would stay away from trying what you're talking about. You're better off handicapping the game and then finding the best number that you can and go from there.

Bill:

You would need to have someone like Neilm or Sick Gambler come in to give you the exact historical frequency of occurences, but at first glance, this looks like a positive expectation bet.

4 hits much less than 40% of the time - probably closer to 20%, or even a bit less.
