There's no other solution kid, this HAD to be a scalp of some sort, or just dumping action for him and his friends. Nobody bets 80x their avg bet, unless they're crazy. That's how people go broke. But I am sure this kid found great numbers on the other side with numerous books and just scalped it, OR, he was dumping out some action and bearding for 5 or 6 high rollers who loved Man U at that price. I think the latter seems more reasonable.

Can someone answer my qustion? I am really curious about this. Its like scalping a boxing match with the draw on a three way line. Not possible. Maybe this +120 was not for a three way?

I havent read much about this whole mess but if you have a three way line, how does a +120 line help you in a scalp?

It is possible to scalp a 3-way if the numbers are right, but obviously you have to make it work by betteing all 3 possible outcomes.

The variance in lines would have to be tremendous to warrant scalping a three way number. I really cannot see how this is possible. You would have to garner a huge price on at two of the outcomes.

soccer indeed has three ways,1(home team),X(draw),2(visitors)
but you can get two ways lines:
example Newcastle 1X for +120 at any book and at WSEX

Manchester 2 for +120
I m sure many books would love to receive action at Newcastle.

I call into question your claim that this was 80 times his average bet. According to WSEX's info, the guy only bet two other soccer games. One game, he bet in 500 increments and WSEX was awake-at-the-switch and moved the line. He stopped after the second move and made only two bets. YOU do not know how much more he would have bet if the line hadn't moved. So, you do NOT know his average soccer bet.

Second, we have not been told Revere's average bet side on other sports. If he has bet 10 or 20 dimes on events in the past, then it appears that he likes to get down "as much as he can".

My point here is that without a FULL disclosure of his betting history, you cannot make any MEANINGFUL statements regarding his "average bet size".

He didn't scalp anything. He took a shot at a line he liked, at a time of his choosing, and won. There doesn't have to be some big to do about this.

even if the +120 was part of a 3 way line it is equivalent to Asian Handicap @ - 1/2.

hence he could bet on newcastle + 1/2 with sundry asian books plus pinnacle at something like - 110 by the start of game.

actually i am assuming it was the newcastle game as that is the only game MU have played and started @ + 120.

US40k is pretty much chump change for the asian bookies so with the right accounts he could easily get set for that much.
