I get the same type response to help wanted ads on GL. Im pretty sure they are Nigerian scammers wanting a reply for some unknown reason...

Meh, no harm in trying. No one can get a job now, even with a good resume and cover letter. At least he stood out.

if you have mortgage or title experience of have a r/e legal background there are endless opportunities. But first you "kinda" have to have a good resume.:lol:

I do restaurant recruiting and get the same type responses.

People without the proper experience "taking a shot" or real high level guys (Area Managers) used to making $60k a year applying to the $30k job and thinking they can get $60k. They don't get that one of the reasons they are unemployed is because they were making $60k and their company could not afford them. Those people stay unemployed for a long time from what I can tell.

I once worked for a very small company and screened the resumes that would come in by fax when we advertised for something.

you truly would not believe the stuff I saw. The examples here hardly scratch the surface.

The way I see it, this is proof positive that there's no excuse for being unemployed. The workforce in this country is filled with complete imbeciles, so having even rudimentary speaking and writing skills makes you hirable, even in this economy.
