Hey guys, me and a couple of the boys are taking the old ladies out to a movie on Saturday and wanted to do dinner before. We're going to the VIP out at Terramall and I was wondering if anyone knew any fun places to do dinner out near there. Any suggestions? We want them to serve plenty of beer/liquor and good food is a plus, any price range will do. We're looking for something kinda nice but probably not over the top. I found a place http://www.triocr.com that looked nice but I wasn't sure where it was.

Thanks in advance.

TRIO is located a block east from plaza del sol IMO its like 10 15 min drive to terramall depending on the traffic, i was there yesterday had a few drinks and ordered something like a sampler (fish, meat, chicken and fries) it wasnt that bad for 20$ it was good for 3 persons to eat, something i tell you is that they dont have a large variety on the menu a few main dishes and the rest what we call "bocas"

At terramall there is a pane vino, vino y tintos, and spoon. Also, the vip area has food (sushi and sandwiches) and bar. And they serve it to you inside the theater.

You'll likely pass an INKA Grill on the way there. (Take a right passed KFC across from Plaza Del Sol in Curridibat)

Circa 1999 there was a great restaurant right off the exit to Lomas de Ayarco Sur. No idea what's there now.

I forget which sushi roll I ordered in VIP, but it wasn't terrible. Eating sushi in variable light is a trick though, twice I dropped my roll when the light from the screen dimmed suddenly and I couldn't see my hands, and I'm generally good with chop sticks.

Thanks for the responses so far. Vino y Tinto is alright but we've been there quite a few times, really the only part we know is in the actual mall but we know those spots pretty well. We're looking for kind of a cool date spot for before, something new. I figure there has to be a restaurant around there that is bien vacano, just waiting for someone who knows the area to chime in. :toast:

Andiamo La isn't too far from Terramall. My wife and I often eat there, and we really enjoy the food.
Italian, with a wide menu selection of appetizers and entrees. Very good service and attention from the staff as well. It is on the pricey side.
Located on the service road, just off the highway, in Pasoca.
If you know where the Hipermas is in Curridabat....cross the bridge and make a left, but don't get on highway..stay on the service road. About 500 meters down on your right.

Across from AM/PM (almost to the freeway from Curridibat) there's a place just called Family Pizza. Doesn't look like much from the street, but I remember it fondly. Had a great bottle of Chianti there with my girl.

There also Jazz Cafe on the way. IMHO you'll have more luck in Curridibat than around Terra Mall. I've driven around Terra Mall (getting lost), isn't much there. Maybe some places in closer to Cartago, never been that far.

I wasn't gonna say anything out of respect but sometimes we do a little fist bump when we're giving your mom the chinese fingercuff treatment out by the pool.

thats what you said 2 posts above, cant do better I guess

Well I didn't want to post pics of your mom being pinned down with my balls and shaft in her mouth while Von is pile driving her. Of course all of this is being done while you sit in the living room watching A Todo Dar waiting for us to leave, so that you can then come to your mattress which looks like a crib next to your mom's bed and go to sleep. What are you 30 and still living at home??
