Right now the Republicans are not our enemy, its the Democratic party and the empty suit who has just put the U.S. economy on the brink of disaster. How can Obama be so stupid? He now has put the success or failure of the economy in his lap. Can't blame Bush now. Not when you help pass a trillion dollar pork barrel spending bill.

Why not make sure its a true stimulus bill with bi-partisan support? That way both parties are together and can't blame each other. Now its all on him.

I can't wait to come on here two years from now after Obama's Stimulus Package is an unqualified success, and hear you Republicans desperately try to spin it into something else like "the economy would have healed itself anyway" nonsense. In the case of the economy, Obama wasn't going to win no matter what he does. If he fails it's on him. I would say Reps will gain no matter of the outcome.

Even if it works very well (which I dont think it will) the debt will still grow by a lot, so they can attack that.

Shouldn’t you have said “when” instead of “if”. Bush’s plan didn’t work admittedly though on a much smaller scale than BO’s. Maybe a lot more of the same is really better. Only time will tell. :grandmais
