After two weeks relaxing in paradise - complete with golf, sun-bathing and meals at luxury restaurants - President Obama is back at the White House.
The Commander-in-chief was seen waving to photographers as he walked with his family across the lawn from Marine One following a short flight from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
As he stepped off the helicopter he saluted waiting soldiers and held hands with his 16-year-old daughter Malia alongside his wife Michelle.
He returns as the Republicans prepare to take over the Senate next week, but is readying executive actions and legislative proposals to in a bid to kick start his own 2015 agenda.
