Another episode in the poor officiating in the NFL. How can a flag not be thrown with both teams in a free for all. The referees should be reprimanded by the league for their lack of control. They even missed the fair catch by Atlanta to start the drive no matter how weak of a signal it was. Its time for the officials to be held accountable just like the players!

I think not calling the fair catch was a good call, though. Anything else has been rediculous

That was not a "legal" fair catch call.

I mean, come on, the guy waved his hand 1-2 seconds before the tackler got him and 2 seconds is a stretch, and you call that a fair catch?

I do agree with you that some flags had to be thrown on that maylay.

Like I said above it was a weak signal but you still have to protect the receiver no matter how weak the signal was. With that being said, Rossum probably learned a lesson on how to signal a fair catch.

I like the Falcons, but that wasn't much of a fair-catch call. Not only did Rossum wait until the last-second, he really didn't wave his arm that much. Can't blame the Carolina player for running into him.

As for the free-for-all, throwing flags wouldn't have mattered that much. So what, they throw some flags and call off-setting penalties. Atlanta still has the ball in the same spot.
