Let me start by saying that this new ACC alignment is very interesting to say the least with the old ACC blood and the ones from the Big East wanting to flex their muscles on who is better. Tonight's game between Duke and Pittsburgh should be one to watch for even the smallest basketball fan. Tickets going for $1,200 apiece.....assistants struggling to get the tickets they want, students camped out to get into the arena.
Duke is back on track with wins over Virginia, NC State, Miami, and FSU. They almost blew the Virginia game, stomped on the next two as they should have and finished with a good win at Home against FSU. The Pitt game is crunched in front of the game getting all of the commercial play, so that concerns me....especially since this game on the road is on two days rest, and Pittsburgh probably feeling a little disrespected. I honestly think Duke will be much better prepared for Saturday's game against Syracuse.
Pittsburgh is 12-0 at Home this year but more importantly they are 9-0 in the last nine games at Home against Top Teams. They take pride in playing at Home, and wins like Saturday at Maryland tell me that this team a little different than Pitt teams in the past, who would lose a road game like that. This might be one of the best Pittsburgh teams I've seen. The crowd tonight is going to be off the charts, and you have to give the edge to Pittsburgh tonight. It does not hurt my feelings to see 63% on Duke as well.......
Pittsburgh -3.5 for 2 Units, risking 2.4 Units.
