Wake is a talented young team but in my opinion have been overachieving so far this year...I did not think they would be undefeated at this point but they are...No way Coach Williams and Hansborough start off 0-2 in the ACC...Wake may cover but UNC will win SU...also I think Notre Dame is up there with some of the good teams in the country and what did UNC do to them?? won by 15...Michigan State? An absolute slaughtering by 35 @MSU...Wake is good and will make the tournament but will not win this game their best win is like UTEP

ending BYU's 53 game home win streak doesn't count?

As far as no way UNC starts ACC 0-2 that falls under the bad reason category.

Michigan St was not right at that time they played them and I think most will agree were grossly over rated, including by myself. Notre Dame is a good team, but a little soft. I don't even have them in my top 5 Big East teams. You can argue winning at BYU, and Baylor are almost as good

Reason UNC will win? I bet Wake.

BTW, homedawg - when you first posted this I opened it and it was empty. I thought that was hilarious!

I guess i will have to re-do my original post.

While everyone saying UNC has no chance of losing I have yet to see a logical reason as to why they won't lose? "Wake sucks", "UNC is awesome", and "UNC has the heart of a champion" will be politely ignored. Anyone with sound reasoning please post in here.

Wake Forest plays defense something ND doesn't do.

Mich St. wasn't playing well at that time and they are a bad matchup against UNC. Wake can match their size and speed.

I am here to say that if Wake wins I will not be absolutely shocked as they are a talented team...I just feel that UNC has so much talent has been rolling all season long that the lost to BC was a blessing in disguise...it kept them grounded and focused and let them realize that they CAN be beaten on any given night...HD, there is no way you can argue that BYU and Baylor are as good as ND and MSU...granted MSU wasn't "right" at that time, they still should not have lost by 35 points...UNC will win and I expect a cover but if goes the other way, its not a shock

no i can't argue that. but Baylor is a very very good team. UTEP isn't anything special either just a solid team. Both of those games however will be much more to the tempo tonight's game should be and it shows how they performed with that. At BYU however may be the most impressing win out of them all.

I agree simply because they were on the road and ended that ridiculous streak...I guess we'll have to wait and see...BOL even though were are on opposite sides:toast:

-Guess what guys? UNC can start 0-2 in the ACC. Do they want to? Of course not but obviously Wake will be playing just as hard.

-Wake is a very good team. Not as good as some make them to be. I think they are 4th in the ACC behind Clemson but keep in mind I have Duke, UNC, and Clemson all as top 15 teams.

-UNC is the best team in the country. Does that mean they are the play in every game? Absolutley not. It does mean however they will be the public darlings this year.

-Because they will be a public play every week it will not make them a better or worse play. People will win with them and lose with them, you have to pick your spots.

-UNC and Wake Forest match up very well tempo-wise and Wake can run with the best of them.

-Wake Forest I don't think has an answer for Hansborough, Thompson, and Davis.

-I also think UNC has an advantage with the depth that they can bring on the floor to give everyone a rest.

-UNC also got Ginyard back (probably thier best defender).

-Wake can win this game, cover the number just as well as UNC can. Although for the reasons I stated I think UNC is a solid play at -5. Not at -7 or 8 though.

-Taking home conference dogs every game will not be some big profitable thing or we all would do it. You have to pick your spots on the road in conference and this is my spot here.

Gl to all.

Ginyard is out and I will match Johnson, Aminu, and McFarland vs. Hansbrough, Thompson, and Davis.

I personally believe Wake has equal, if not superior, talent to UNC. They are loaded with multi-dimensional athletes, and have a go to guy in crunch time with Teague. However, there are concerns: 1. Wake being overwhelmed by the moment- They can play out of control at times, taking ill-advised shots and turning the ball over. They need to be hyped, but not overhyped. 2. Scoring depth- Wake has size off the bench with Woods and Weaver, but the scoring pop is not there if the starters get in foul trouble. Ish Smith has gotten progressively worse each year at Wake, but he has explosiveness and is 'capable' on a good day.

This is far from a 'turn the switch on' game for UNC.

"No way Coach Williams and Hansborough start off 0-2 in the ACC"

That logic is why we are getting such a generous 7 points with wake.

Last year vs Wake Hansborough dropped 29.

Thompson is one of the more improved players in the country and Davis is playing his ass off when he gets on the floor.
