I am curious how many of you guys and Gals, and especially O's supporters are doing with the ACA.

Is it possible to get the truth from anyone here.... meaning if youre against, or for it, can you tell the truth if it hasnt gone as planned in your life?

I have BCBS from one of my jobs, so I dont have to go and sign up for it.......................yet!

Can we have a REAL TRUTHFUL discussion about it from both sides without getting NASTY... meaning again, what its done, will do, or doing to/for you now?

I know some of you guys work for yourselves as I do on one of my jobs, but what about the guys who dont work and are home, and have to sign up for it? Will you sign up for it or take the penalty?

That is not a shot at anyone, as EVERYONE is supposed to sign up for it.

This discussion should open up everyones eyes on both sides of this fence....

My Health Insurance went up 3% this year. That's the lowest increase I've had in the last decade. The average increase before that was about 10%, once as high as 20%. Same plan I've had for years, I'm not affected by ACA at all in plan choice, doctor choice, etc. I have no idea if ACA and increased competition was the reason for the lower increase. I think ACA overall was a half assed attempt at fixing a serious problem, so I am not a supporter or detractor of it.

My company's fye is 6-30 but we have been told to expect 6-10% increases in premiums. Not happy about it but nothing I can do about it but carry on.

No change this year. Last year(2013) My Co-pays went up for the 1st time in years, about 33%, along with about a 10% premium increase, and an approximate 15% increase in prescriptions. No increase in Perscriptions this year. Have no deductible for medical, only hospital, and that has not changed. I am in NY State.

That's completely 100 percent false. My uncle made great money and is very conservative with his money. His insurance is way down after signing up for obamacare. Can't use the pre existing heart condition against him. You are just plain wrong.

We told you so.

ah yes, the rare exception, a wealthy person with a pre-existing condition who's employer does not provide insurance, who's spouse does not provide coverage and who's not eligible for medicare

yep, that's America

like most liberal arguments, they need to live on the fringe

to deny the substance of the issue is what's "wrong"

as with everything in life, there are no absolutes, save for dying (not even paying taxes is an absolute anymore)

PS: once again, I'm speaking from first hand experience

I've helped people who benefit from Obamacare, and I've helped people (or at least consulted with them) about healthcare alternatives made necessary by Obamacare

there are far far far far more losers, at least in the taxpaying world

and anyone paying attention knows this, or should know this. The only people who don't know this are among the least informed people in the world with their only source of knowledge coming from the president's lying mouth or the 10 second sound bite

compared ACA rates to my current plan and they're awful but was also informed by my insurance company (which is one of largest in america) that notices will be sent in April if the current plan doesn't conform to ACA standards (whatever the f that means). So i'm fully expecting having to pick up a more expensive but less robust health plan for the 2nd half of 2014.

Vit, how about your coverage?
Why havent you chimed in yet?
Please tell the truth. I am asking everyone to give their plan and to be truthful, so dont take my asking for the truth to be a shot...its not.

Willie, What about your plan?
Do you have coverage, or are you taking the penalty?

C'mon guys, this is not meant to be a bitch session.

Put the fucking hatred away, your answer might help someone in the future be ready for this thing.
