MVP and possible NFL immortality (if Lewis were to rush for 150+yards) as he would break Eric Dickerson`s single season mark for yards....

Now that the Ravens have clinched it is not wise to give him the ball at all IMHO...As much as I wanted this game to "matter" it is now as meaningless as an exhibition game for Baltimore and Lewis!

Damn Bengals couldn`t beat the Browns to make this a festive night for the Ravens faithful!

Do you think Lewis should still play tonight?

My prediction is he will play long enough to be given a shot at 2000...This team wanted that much, and Billick said he would play his regulars some...We shall see, it really takes the fun out of what could have been a memorable event here in Md!

If I were coach, I play him & keep him in tune. Maybe not as much but keep ingame mindset going.

You will see Lewis play the first half for sure! If he is close to the #, he'll continue! I think you'll see him excell in the first half! I think that the Ravens are a great first half play tonight!

Let him get 2000 yards and then sit him for sure
If this guy plays into the 3rd quarter i would be stunned and it would be an outrageous coaching mistake

If Lewis gets hurt , even if he carries 3 times fo 20 yards.....if he gets hurt and is out for the year Baltimore will never forgive Billick, thats just the way fans are. If Billick sits him the fans will flip out too...

Its a very tough call IMO...Plus we are talking about a runner who takes about as much punishment as any player in the game. From the way Billick talked earlier in the week, his regulars would play some, and by the way he sounded it would not be for a full half....We are talking about a Super Bowl possiblity or a chance at an NFL record...I say give him the ball 10 times, hopefully that gets him 50 yards...Whole thing sucks really , personally I would rather have seen Cincy force the hand by winning!

I can see Pittsburgh stacking the box with everyone, thats about the only thing this game has left to play for...MIDDLERS WET DREAM!

journey,

i think the ravens have a shot to go deep into the playoffs now that they are in. before cinci lost today, i had serious doubts about us even getting in. pitt just has the ravens number for some reason. im GLAD cinci lost.

No doubt they have owned us...But you do want to win your way in I think ....I was just looking forward to a festive game from a historical standpoint...Jamal Lewis could be an all time great we are watching here...And the casual fan doesn`t even know who he is,lol.. I think the Ravens would have won easily tonight...These are not the Steelers of old...

As far as the Ravens going deep, I`m not so sure...Tennessee will be no walk in the park and then more than likely two road wins???

I have to admit that formula sounds awfully familiar though ,lol!

with mcnair hampered by injuries i dont think tenne will be that tough jman. i suspect baltimore will be playing k.c. in the second week. that game may be a little tougher but i think baltimore showed earlier in the year that they can play with k.c.

from there we just have to hope denver can beat new england.
