on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the "nuts" i give big bet a 2.5. here are a few comments:
1) not enough players on the site. if i want to play a game at a certain time why go to big bet and find either a) only a handful of players at a table or b) no game going at the limits i want to play. there are other sites that offer full games (+ short handed tables) at any limit at any time of day.
2) cannot open private tables. either the software does not have the capability to create private tables or management does not want players to do so. other rooms offer this feature so it would be nice to have the ability to create an "Rx Only" table so a few of us could play together. this is a MINOR problem.
3) software crashed very frequently for me. big bet support identified norton anti-virus as the source of the problem. i should not have to disable my anti-virus software to play at a poker room. more importantly, i don't have this problem with bigbet's competitors. they should fix this. if i didnt have this problem, my account would still be funded there to participate in the Rx games.
4) cashout was processed quickly. POSITIVE.
5) bonus/promo dollars. their process for earning bonuses and the promo dollar awards is not great for the players. it's much easier to earn bonuses (when offered) at other sites and the prizes for other promos are offered in real dollars. with that said, i respect the policy since i do think it is fair and a good business move. another MINOR issue.
bottom line, i judge bigbet against its peers and bigbet has NOTHING to offer that would entice me to play there. just to add context using my experience in other rooms:
paradise - software is good
pokerstars - best (type, limits) tourneys online
party poker - best (softest) games online, best game selection, most one table tourneys available at any given time
wsex - lost its edge but had the highest limits online, most flexible manager in regard to table creation/special requests
what does bigbet offer?
given that i'm a discriminating consumer i may not be in the market they are targeting. YMMV.
