I, too, have been rather fortunate. Always had good luck with books paying and coming to amicable disagreements with disputes.

Minus 15 points though because I am fearful of someone packing up and leaving, even with the major books I play at. And, I don't like having my funds tied up at a limited number of books. Nothing beats being able to walk around Vegas and shop for numbers, especially this week. The best you can do is hold money in a Neteller or something similar, and hope you can move it quick enough if you see something you like.

Depends on what the criteria is....I have mixed emotions on the whole industry, gambling and forums...it can be great, it can be overwhelming at times and it can make time disapear faster than in the real world...but when you think back say 20 years ago, would anyone have ever dreamed we would talk sports with people all over the country for hours and hours, watch sports and bet on them all from our desks...Who would have ever believed it!?

Having said all that I would miss it greatly!

I had a disagreement on what I played with my local and it cost me $200 (we agreed to cancel the play)

Nothing not to like about offshore (as long as you weren't a stiffed, of course)

I give the offshore industry a 60. The reason is I know quite a few of the bookies offshore and most of them are into drugs, whores and alcohol. Combine that with no regulation and you shouldn't be surprised when you have more Aces and Betpanam fiascos.

Also, how some of them treat their employees you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. Only this past weekend I was speaking to a clerk that work for a book in CR that told me it's the norm for the owner to choke the male clerks against the wall when they make a mistake.
