I think Pat Buchanan is a hate-filled douchebag, but I just posted a piece he wrote about the Fed in the sell, sell, sell thread because I think he is spot on.

One difference, I think, between people on the left and those on the right is that one group are absolutists who see the world in black and white, while the other acknowledges that shades of gray exist.

I'm sure you can figure out who is who.

I think that most atheists universally understand that Islam is a violent death cult.

The only reason Christianity isn't is because the parts of the Bible that promote violence and acts of barbarism are conveniently ignored. In Islam, they are emphasized. The only "radicals" in Islam are those who aren't looking to off the head of some infidel.

Christianity has modernized. It wasn't always pacifist. There are millions of dead Jewish bodies that prove that, and I'm putting hitler aside.

This is why societies and governments, regardless of religious beliefs must both reach out to and bolster followers of moderate Islam and destroy radical Islam.

Islam will modernize like Christianity, but until it does the world will remain in a perpetual state of war.
