Shocked to learn this thread is needed really, shocked at out short term memory, shocked at the audacity of authors already rewriting history

March 13, 2020, NYT "a paper of record" (these are the pre shutdown numbers)

Total USA cases; 160 million to 240 million
Total USA hospitalized cases; 2.4 million to 21 million
Total USA deaths; 200,000 to 1.7 million

------------------------
After shutdown numbers

CDC 100,000 to 240,000 deaths
CDC now, 60,415 deaths and dropping at faster rates than actual deaths are increasing

IHME total hospitalizations on 4/2/2020; 262,092
IHME total hospitalizations on 4/5/202; 166,890 (95,202 less, a drop of 36% in three fucking days)

-------------------------
Well after the shutdown, remember all those catastrophic statements about a shortage of hospital beds? a shortage of ventilators? THE FUCKING COLLAPSE OF OUR MEDICAL SYSTEM? How fucking stupid does all that look today?

Was it even two weeks ago Cuomo told Trump to come to NY and pick out the people that have to die? SERIOUSLY? And the fucking lap dogs lick it up

Time is doing it's thing people, it always does

Get prepared to be called a liar and uneducated about this issue Willie. They'll call you Dr. Willie and a hack.

But at the end of the day, there's only 3-4 at the RX left now. All the other rats jumped ship when they realized this thing was overhyped by your shitty, lying press.

Yes we are flattening the curve in key areas. But lmfao. Not sure what you’re trying to say when 90% of you were complaining about a shutdown from the very beginning lmfao.

Which sorta defeats your whole purpose for this thread and argument, no?

You can’t say “let’s get back to work. This ain’t that bad.” Without crediting the shutdown and restrictions that help this thing.

Whole point of it was YOU guys saying NOOOO let’s not close everything.

Thats the whole fucking point lmfao. And without that, you’re not making this thread. Whole argument was shutdown or no shutdown based on the info we have. That was the debate.

You can’t say....”look now it looks good I told y’all it was all overblown.”

Ok. But what about the shutdown we have had for over a month? Lmfao that didn’t help?

We still are not out of this. New York which was getting hit the hardest has flattened out. Doesn’t mean we’re through this yet. At least another month. At least before we can start to reopen anywhere.

36,000 deaths from Pneumonia
5,000 deaths from COVID-19

People are right to so there's no comparison, even with the surge in COVID-19 deaths since 4/4/2020, COVID-19 can't compete with the Pneumonia

How do people not know the truth? Can it be their news sources? Rhetorical question, for anybody with a functional brain.

Wish I had more time to discuss this stuff, but I already wasted more time than I should

I would bold what you said. But it already is.

“covid can’t compete with pneumonia.” !!!!!!!!!!!! Red flag that you don’t know what you’re talking about.

I have respect for you. But my suggestion would be to go read and educate yourself on the virus if you are making statements like that.

Wow. It’s quite possible that the number of deaths are really being underreported

Every prediction you made or believed or sold was categorically incorrect. Don't come in here and try to move the goalposts now. This discussion is about predictions and results, and mocking all the drama your ilk was selling

We're correct, you're NOT

What happens going forward is TBD, I'll just let time do it's thing. What you're doing now to attacking policies that haven't been announced. What you're doing now is attacking people for daring to disagree with your insight. Since your side has been so incorrect about these matters to date, maybe you should proceed with a little more humility. Seriously

Its those rising numbers in the lower left box is what we're afraid of. Those numbers are going to rise again for 4/11/20. Hopefully those numbers DONT rise for 4/18/20. Once we see declining numbers, then hopefully we could go back to "normal"

Smart guy... how the fuck do you think we get to the results we are at now?

By a government shutdown. Lmfao. That was the debate. You said no shutdown. And now you’re touting the numbers WITH a shutdown. Your dumbass couldn’t make this up if you tried. It’s fucking embarrassing for you. And you don’t even know why it makes you look stupid and wrong. Thanks for the laugh.

We can't go back to normal too soon, but we're going back to normal much quicker than the most dire predictions from the left. Something I've said from day 1 and continue to believe

Withing the last few days, the left was citing some medical expert that said we need to close down the economy for 18 months. No joke

I post a prediction by the CDC, and you call me an idiot

Priceless

People can and will decide who's the idiot. As with everything else in my wonderful life, I like my chances

Nobody aspires to know or be a Mango

We actually talk to these posters as if they are intellectually capable of having a conversation that will move the ball down the field. At the end of the day, there are 3-4 guys here that are just not that bright. We talk to them like they have some sense which is our big mistake. They just aren't that smart.

Oh, everyone who reads your stupid prediction "less than the common flu" will know what an idiot you are.

Always stay humble and kind.
