Rand Paul Says the Cop that Choked Eric Garner Should no Longer be a Police Officer

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says he was horrified by the video of Eric Garner’s death and that the officer responsible should no longer “have the power to be a policeman any more” due a lack of discretion.


As Bloomberg notes, Paul singled out NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo without naming him and said, “While the grand jury has made its decision, whether or not a policeman who accidentally kills someone while stopping them from distributing cigarettes, that’s probably a lack of discretion and you probably shouldn’t have the power to be a policeman anymore, at the very least.”


“When I’ve watched the video (of Garner’s death) I’ve been horrified by it,” he added.
Despite the video, the grand jury decided not to indict Pantaleo.

Got to be consequences for ones actions - u drink and drive and kill someone - there are consequences regardless that u never intended to hurt anyone - u choke a dude that did not need to be chocked - who was an obese fat fuck - and the chocking causes him to later have a heart attack - well there should be consequences

Yeah I haven't heard the term in a long time.

They used to sell them for like a quarter in convenience stores. Don't know why they stopped or anything.

The asian owned mini-markets, still do it here in Reno. We called them singles though here on the west coast.
