Brock sucks on the road but this game is in mexico so wouldn't be a true road game.

they beat the lowly jags last week. Oakland will keep improving, i dont see how houston can keep up with them.

Been a raiders fan since they drafted my boy Charles Woodson in 1998 NFL draft. The atmosphere at the black hole for that Denver Sunday night game two weeks ago was uncharted territory for these raiders. There comes a game in every teams "rise" where they realize how good they can be. For the Raiders, that moment came when they went up 30-13 in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders have 2 players on their roster over 30. During the bye week not one Raider floated or spoke of arriving. All of them spoke of what they need to do to get better. There is a new energy in Oakland. Jack Del Rio is the perfect coach for this Raiders team.

My personal take on this game: Raiders learned how to win, and they love the feeling. They know how much work it takes now and they don't take it for granted. The defense has gotten much better from the first two games of the season. The offense is as balanced as you can be.

The 7300 ft elevation IMO favors the younger team, and the team that can run the ball. I think this game could be the Raiders showing the NFL that they are here to stay.

Its more a play against the Texans. I have watched this team steady and they do nothing well. They just happen to play in the worst division in the nfl. Raiders win this thing going away, I see few scenarios in which Carr ( who maybe knows how bad his brother got trashed by the fans, aside from being passed over for some scrub) does not play flag football with Cooper and Crabtree against Joseph and Jackson.

Really think this line is short, I see a comfortable dd win for the Raiders tonight.

What else I have been reading about Mexico city is:

The 7300 ft is 2000 ft higher that games played in Denver.

The air is so polluted there, if it doesn't rain a day or so before the game, these guys are going to feel it in their chests.

So my question is... Who does that favor? Off or Def? A passing team or a running team?

I think it affects the texans defense more than anything. I think they will be on the field, or the parking lot, or whatever they are playing on, most of the night.

Just my .02.

Yeah, Im leaning towards it wont really matter too much in the 1st qtr or half even. BUT I feel like the second half will have alot of winded players leading to mor scoring. So im gonna do a Over bet for the game and a Over bet for the second half.

But what do I know, lol

I've been going to the Coliseum since 1970, that stadium gets up for every Raiders game, no matter how shitty or how good they are. The atmosphere 2 weeks ago wasn't anything different or special than other games. This isn't the first time that stadium has seen success. The Stabler era and The Gruden years that place was just as electric.

My only concerns is with the defense. They have played better, but the defense is still average. Before we spew over the Denver game, lets also remember they were missing several key defensive players in that game. They beat a shitty Jacksonville team, a decent TB squad. Kansas City worked them over pretty good, albeit it was a great scheduling spot for them. Almost lost to SD at home. The run defense is better, but still not great.

They have played a ton of games that could have gone either way, and have won most of them. Last year they lost them, this year they are closing out games.

6 points is a lot to lay in this spot. For as shitty as Houston has looked at times, they have played well at times too. Maybe its being a fan of 46 years not wanting to get ahead of himself, knowing there is a lot of season left. I think they win, but the cover will be close as most games have been by less than a score.. Hope I'm wrong as I won't have a dime on the game. Rooting is enough of a sweat for me.

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

Amen to all of it. If gun to my head, HOU +6 for small play. don't think The Raiders cruise at all.
