Seems like you are the middling guru, wondered if you would share your expertise

I know you said for

NBA totals one needs 2.5 pts to middle
what about NBA sides?
Are college the same (usually feweer points in the game)
For halfs, divide by 2 and round up?

Thanks for any help.

NBA SIDES:

As a basic starting point, if your laying -110 on both sides, you need a 1.5 point difference to basically tread water.

Work your equations from there.

As a whole, NBA lines are much stronger, thus you do not need as many points for a shot at a middle.

Fish is correct the NBA in baskets is like the NFL is to football not as many teams much easier for the linesmaker to get a good read on all the teams

For totals, I'd pay up to 4 pts juice per half point diff. For sides, pay up to 6-7 pt juice per half for the 2 to 9 range in the NBA, otherwise 5-6 pt juice NBA. College sides pay 6 pt juice for the 5-11 range, otherwise 5 pts juice (e.g. full 2 pt middle).

These are very generic rules that sould be tweaked in specific situations. But if you followed this in the long-run I don't think you could lose.

Thanks, but still not sure I really get it, but that probably becuase I'm such a gambling dummy.

Ok, I tried one tonight, college sides

1.5 point middle between 5-11.
One one side is full juice (-110) one is slightly below (-108).

Did I do this correctly or am I screwed in the long run doing this?

All abourd the train
