Can someone please tell me how most books grade a tie? Does it count as nothing or a half win?

Let me be a little more specific. You bet Philly over 8 1/2 season wins, if Philly wins 8 and ties 1, do you lose or tie your bet?

Is there a definative rule on this or can it vary at different books? Appreciate a knowledgable imput, thanks.

Lose, IMO.

8 wins is less than 8.5 wins.

It seems crystal clear to me.

That's what I think, but someone told me offshore books count a tie as half a win on season bets. I was trying to see if someone knew for sure.

contact the book where the bet was placed, then.

I can't see it being any other way, though.

The bet was done man to man. We decided to abide by what most books do in this situation. If anybody has any info, please let us know.

Philly could win next week and it could all mean nothing.

If the book doesn't have a specific rule regarding the tie, it will count as a win.

Wow, two completly different opinions. I'm really confused now,

Someone saying a half game credit, gave me hope that I locked up a tie. If you're right I've won already.

This is very simple.

You are betting on SEASON WINS, over or under. At the end of the year, look at the WIN column of the team in question. Whatever number is there, that is the number your bet will win or lose against.

Ties help you if you bet a team under. They hurt if you bet a team over.

Well said. The bet is Season Wins, not "Season Wins + 1/2 Ties"

Sorry to keep up about this, it's a dispute between friends. Can anybody find a major SB that plainly states the rule on this.

over/under 8.5 wins. 8 is clearly under.

I wouldn't even consider challenging a book on this, if Philly goes 8-7-1.

hell i'd like to see somebody call me and make this case. this really is a stupid question. Its like saying if I only lose by half a point does it still count?

On the other paw I wonder if any crooked operations will use it to their favor.

its pretty fukking obvious if you ask me , Your betting Over a certain amount of "WINS" if you fail to meet that number , You Lose. Plain and simple. everybody looks for an out, accept it, you lost plain and simple , Or just beat Dallas on Sunday and stop worrying ....
