I don't think exposure is limited that much.

they have to set a price that is appropriate to the game situation, at the time, not what they need for balance, IMO. Otherwise value players would pounce on it, right ?

It seems fairly risky to book. They have to assign a guy to watch the game, and make constant lines.... sounds stressful to me.

Agree with Doug that they update lines based on the game situation. I think they may have a certain amount before it will trigger the market to freeze, as I have gotten partial fills on my orders in the past. But I don't think they automatically update the odds based on action, and I really don't think they care about getting even action, the vig is plenty enough for them to make a nice profit.

so I'm looking at the live betting right now for the Boston game.. can you only bet on the -5.5 +5.5 spread? idk, I just thought that live betting was in-game betting on random things rather than just the regular spread of the game.

If you want in-game betting on random things, check out Bodog, at least for football you can bet on pass complete/incomplete, first down/no first down, result of drive (punt, fg, td, int), etc.
