usually i wait to see what all the gambling gurus (occams, venom, rob, ace, rod, ck, paddy, kirby and many more i dont have time list) have to say but this feels like a good bet to me so im going with it. im riding with Lebron as he crushes the hawks. lets just hope and pray b-lang isnt on it!

<table id="betChartSuccess" class="inrunningResultBlock66672502" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr class="odd"><td class="betInfo">05/05/09</td> <td class="betInfo">Cleveland(Cavaliers)</td> <td class="betInfo">-11</td> </tr> <tr class="odd"> <td class="betInfo">20:05 ET</td> <td class="betInfo">

Buys the Cavs to win the series.......no chance that Atl can win more than one game

The Cavaliers are more than capable of covering the point spread, but betting -11 on any team is always a risk. If I were you I would have packaged them in a teaser with one more of your most confident picks to "help" your odds.

true every bet is a risk though, im just trying to find the least risky ones. hopefully the cavs crush the hawks, which i believe has a better than not chance of happening. i feel a teaser would be even more risky as it is my opinion the payout of a teaser does not justify the risk of having to cover multiple albeit lower spreads. If the heat can crush them by 20 at home, then im sure the cavs will do the same...Plus the cavs have had the most rest in the nba, so expect them to be fresh... gl

yes i agree i hope this is the case. i would think rest would really help them. just hope theyre not rusty and the hawks almost like warmed up. i dont know much about the nba (as i have not been following it long) and how teams usually do in the playoffs with alot of rest. with this game though, i just honestly feel the hawks are just ok and the cavs are on a mission, and at home, will roll by 15+. we'll see... @) and thanks for the gl.

How about the Lakers -4 1/2 over Houston for the 1st half? The Lake Show will want to get out of the gate early to put this to rest. You don't have to worry about any scrubs letting a back door in late in the game at -8.

becareful, i have lost a bunch of money riding LA on the 1st half, I think they are a MUCH better 2nd half team anyways, so with Laker games I'll either take the opposing team for the 1st half, then take the lakers 2nd half, or just the lake show 2nd half.....good luck either way

dont expect kobe to be the key in this series.

yanni - i agree, but that's exactly why i wouldn't take lakers first half. it's gonna be tight until everyone feels out their situation. kobe will come out third quarter after a nearly tied first half, snap off a ten point lead and then somehow, lamar odom and pau gasol will take over.

miamiboy - the lakers are only a second half team in certain situations, how many times have you seen them allow backdoors by way of dj mbenga falling apart in the fourth quarter?

Other thing is Lakers haven't played in a while and could be a little rusty. Hopefully the game is close at half then a 2H Laker bet would be good I think.
