Perry, Thanks for that link. That's the highest I've seen UT (although it doesn't get much higher than that!!). UT will be very good. What they did with their third string QB last year was amazing. They gave Auburn all they wanted in the SECCG. As a Gator fan I'm very, very worried about UT. I think Coach Meyer has been doing an outstanding job since coming to Gainesville and I know UF will give UT all they want. If UF wins this one they will probably win the East. I don't think UGA will be as solid this year with all the losses they had (Green, Pollack, Brown, Gibson, etc...). Georgia's opener is going to be rough for them (Boise State). Looking forward to Sept 17....I might see ole Coach LT there!

Vols v. Gators

No problem coach, I thought that FOX did an outstanding job analyzing all the teams for the upcoming year and thought others would to. Anyway, on to Vols v. Gators. It seems I'm the lone Volunteer in a swamp full of Gators so I will be diplomatic. Florida scares me if they implement the option attack. UT has been torched by teams running the option in the past. Nebraska twice and Kansas State in bowl games also South Carolina over the past few seasons under Holtz gave UT all they could handle. However, Chris Leak is "not" an option QB so we'll see how it plays out. We're going to find out how good UT is early on with back to back road dates at Florida and LSU. Looking forward to it.

Do you ever read GatorCountry.com? Good site for UF info. Anyhow, about "the option". There is a big misinterpretation around the country as to Meyer's offense. He uses what he calls a "spread option". Last year Utah rushed and passed for approx. 250 yards each! Amazing. The "option" as most of us know it (Nebraska/K-State style) is not what Meyer runs. He uses it just a few times per game to keep teams honest. He uses A LOT of 5 wide sets. He uses one back most of the time. He has a lot of talent on offense returning. I agree that Leak isn't an "option" type QB and a lot of us Gator fans are worried about how well he will run (he's not the fastest, about 4.75 speed). However, with the 5 wide and one back sets there will be lots of lanes for the QB to take off and run. That's where the QB will get most of his rushing yards....not on the "option" plays (hopefully when they do run the traditional option Leak will pitch it!). I see the UF QB running for about 20-30 yards per game next year (including sacks). He'll probably have a few 50 yard games and a few 10 yard games (when he gets sack 3-4 times). It's going to be fun watching this offense. Meyer has a Spurrier-like confidence about him....which has made a lot of people excited for the upcoming season!

Where is the REAL CoachCB? This guy posing as CoachCB is WAY to smart about UF football to be the real CCB. The REAL CCB ia a REAL square. Where are you Coach Come Boy? LT
