How do I think the Canucks will do? Just fine I say - They'll make the Playoffs in the west b/c the PAC division is so weak.
The Sedins are proven regular season players - They control the puck when on the ice and they get their points
The Canucks like to shoot the puck since Willie arrived and as a result our scoring improved by a half goal a game from 28th under Torts to 8th under Willie at 2.88 goals a game
Last year Willie D rolled four lines consistently and even in the PO's & that was his undoing not playing the Sedins enough in the first four games lost VCR the series
That and the refs allowing Michael Ferland to run around the rink charging players and leaving his feet in hits on Kevin Bieska
This year Willie only has three lines to roll and then a very tough 4th line anchored by Dorset & Prust.
The defense should be fine too with the Addition of Bartowski and the surprise play of Ben Hutton - Which sent Frankie Corrardo to the waiver wire - You'll know when the leafs have turned the corner when they stop picking up Vancouver cast offs.
The Canucks got Lucky with emergency of Bo Horvat - or did they this guy got stornger as the year went on and was probably our best player in the PO's now there is a slew of young guys who are the future of the canucks who are looking at BO as their leader and want to follow in his footsteps - McCann, Baertschi, Virtanen & Cracknell are all comers look for one or two of then to stick beyond nine games
All the off season moves were upgrades - Sutter for Bonino, Bartkowski replaces Bieksa, & Prust replaces Kassian - Nice moves by Management -
Say what you want about Miller he is still a solid goalie several games last he got shelled but was not removed and it balloned his GAA but he is a gamer and should settle in nicely with a top ten defense in front of him
I think barring alot of injuries I would say 45 wins and PO spot in the west 2 or 3.
