This will be a good thread if it gets some contributions..It was a major success the last 2 weeks..

Its nearly impossible for us to pay attention to every game so there will be some game situations that falls between the cracks..
So if you notice a game where the final score was misleading please mention it in this thread.
Examples:
Team (a) had 200+ more total yards but still lost game because of costly turnovers.
Team (a) was winning 38-10 with 3 mins left and team (b) scored 14 meaningless uncontested points to make the score look misleading..
Stuff like this, you guys are smart..

here is a link to last weeks thread:

Didnt watch this game just posting stats:

Michigan St had 3 more first downs, 83 more total yards. Interesting for a team that lost by 18pts.

I thought Nevada-San Jose St. was a bit misleading. They both had 4 turnovers but Nevada's TO seem to cost them more on the scoreboard. Plus Nevada got stopped on a 4th and 1 on the goalline. Nevada outplayed San Jose St. badly for 3 quarters.

Washington was also misleading. That game was a lot more even than the score indicated. 3 Terrible calls cost Washington 45 yards and probably gave Nebraska an extra 14 points. Plus they fumbled on the 1 yard line on a kick return which gave a free TD to Nebraska

Also, Army outplayed Northwestern pretty badly in my opinion despite needing a late TD to win the game.

That was the game I saw that where the score was misleading tg. It was 20-17 at the half and the bad calls by refs put Huskers in very good position. UW fumbled a KO at their own 1 and Nebraska went right in on the next play. They scored 17 point in less than 1 minute to extend the lead to 37-17.

In the ASU/Illini game, ASU outstatted the Illini but had bad penalties at inopportune times and they pressured Osweiller all night prompting him to miss receivers and throw a couple picks. They were all over him for most of the night. He took a lot of hits which does not bode well for this week when USC comes to Tempe

I would watch Georgia Tech from here on out as Paul Johnson has this team playing like his old Navy teams with better athletes

Throw this in also as I think Troy kills Mid Tenn State on Sat as this team just played Clemson and Arkansas on the road and gave them fits until the second half in this e games and think they take it out on a undermanned Mid Tenn State team

Cincinnati was outstatted 349-342 despite winning 59-14, 6 takeaways helped them alot, through 3 games, they look like they bully weak teams until they pick on somewhere their own size or better and get crushed

pitt losing at iowa was very misleading. tino committed 3 turnovers and all 3 should have been td drives. it's not just looking at # of turnovers but figuring out if the other team caused them or if they were just errors. both int's, if anywhere near properly thrown, were easy td passes and then he drops a snap in the red zone. game could have been, and really should have been, 42-3 or 42-10 at one point, except tino kept iowa in the game and then the pitt defense did the rest.

crazy shootout should be happening in pitt this week as their secondary will get shredded by notre dame but the pitt offense will score in the 30's. tino remarked after the iowa game that toward the end of the 3rd quarter he thought to himself "i finally get it". unfortunately he's too erratic and not talented enough to make the throws but he was making all the right reads. I'll be on pitt/nd over as long as it's 63 or less as pitt can't handle maine's WR let alone ND while Pitt will have guys open all over the field

didn't watch penn state in 2h just 1h so my view on that game is very different. i thought temple deserved the 1h lead but it sounds like 2h was a completely different ball game. still wouldn't lay 28 with penn state although emu will likely score in single digits...no faith that penn state can put up near 40 without punt and ko return td's

Only question is did they get beat up physically playing those two teams. I saw the clemson/Auburn game and clemson has some big and fast athletes on both sides of the ball

This is why I picked Wyoming in that game. I thought they could win or stay close in the rushing battle. Running dogs.

Troy had that point spread in hand until the last couple minutes of the game where Clemson scored two TD's. Troy is a pretty good team. They gave Arky fits. They couldn't pull away from them. I'm still kicking myself for not playing that game.

Auburn couldn't tackle worth a $hit on Saturday. We know FSU will get after them. The under might be the best play for that game. I don't trust Yaba Daba Doo to win two big games in a row.

UF should have won going away, dominated every facet of the game... was flagged for numerous phantom calls and couldn't capitalize in the redzone where they got into about 905 times during the game. Once UF figures out their redzone woes, which they will(weiss is as good as they come) it will be very hard to beat UF.
