Line is kinda fishy. You would think that Carmelo would be worth more than 2 baskets. If I did'nt know any better I would pound the Blazers with this line. I'm going to wait and see if the lines moves like it should to at least Port-3 or 4. If it stays steady at this number Nuggets win and take all the square money.
You'd think it'd be more but hey I wouldn't want to get middled by someone like me with Port +3 or +4 which it was earlier this morning, then turning to take Denver +3 or 4. I'd still take Portand in that case by others will middle it. I had Portland winning anyway. IF Denver somehow still wins without Anthony, than my hats of to them.
Even still, they won't win by more than 4 IMO. I didn't think they would with him, and now with out him? Forget it and don't be fooled by the line not dropping a lot. IMO that's damage control, books don't want anyone hitting the middle and I don't think can't drop it any further. Afterall they were getting a lot of action as line went from 3, 3.5, to 4 before the announcement.
the line didnt move b/c of money on por, the line was made assuming carmelo would play, when it was announced the line was adjusted.
carmelo being out doesnt mean the line should move a bunch. he isnt the only good played on the team as i said before. there are plenty of guys who can fill his points.
I know Melo is averaging 20 points a game but the Nuggets seem to pick it up when he is out of the lineup (given thats when AI was there so AI got more looks) but this is a team that as a rising star in Linas Kleiza I personally am not quick to put the house on the Blazers the only thing I think this injury hurts is the over in the game because of Melos scoring and his HORRIBLE defense
What's this stuff about 'be careful'? I think many are missing the point here. Geek, Yanni, and I bet protland +4 BEFORE the news about Carmelo sitting out was released. The bets were already placed. If we liked Portland when we assumed Carmelo was playing, do you think we are happy or sad that he is not playing? I'll give you a hint, we aren't sad. :lol:
