Had my worst day of 2015 MLB yesterday. Maybe I need to bet 1st 5 Innings instead. I had 6 Losers, 5 who led including DET blowing a late 6-0 lead. The -6.15 Unit avalanche sent me to the wrong side of the ledger for all threads at $-223. Heading into action Tuesday I was +1,009. Vitterd if you think you fell off a cliff you landed on my ass.

We all bitch from time to time because of tough beats. Well I sat here last night and watched as Minny put up one in the eighth and seven in the bottom of the ninth, capped by a 3 run homer, to get me the runline (+170) cover, 8-6. Thank you Minnysota. That was a rare swig of sweet intoxication from the bottle of baseball betting.

yest 2-1 +144

Jeez Scott, I see we cross posted. Man I had that Minny win. Just goes to show that in this game we play one man's bitters are another man's sweeteners. Tough loss for you, for sure. And I know that they feel like the knife gets twisted when they come in the middle of a bad streak. You'll recover, bud. You're a solid handicapper. Good luck today.

FWIW as far as trends go today:

PIT = 20-2 last 2 Games of Homestand
STL = 46-11 in Series tied 1-1

After a 14-2 Streak TOR = 7-13 last 20 Games
KC = 6-0 last 6 Games

DET = 20-1 OVER last 21 Games

CHI (cub) = 12-1 Home if lost last 2 Games

WAS = 10-31 Game #2 of Road Series off Loss by 1 Run since 2008, but
WAS = 42-16 when Zimmerman starts a Night Game

Seems like everyone is struggling this week. May be time to move this to the ongoing thread after the ASG.

I've been insanely selective...just don't like many of the matchups out there.

Btw, those of you who lost the Tigers last night know how I felt when I lost a Yankees run line play about a month ago when they were up 8-1 going into the ninth inning. Final was 8-7. I still hope that entire fucking team all gets a major case of the shits on every long plane ride and the bathroom door is broken.

Rory Macdonald -165

Line is down from -210. I don't see the movement downward. Rory got into fighting really young and he fought top competition when he was still coming up. Think he puts it all together tonight, gets his signature win and takes the title. People are overthinking their last fight from 2 years ago, Rory is much improved on his feet and shouldn't let Lawler pressure him like the last fight. Also, Rory should be able to get takedowns, especially as the fight goes on. He got takedowns in the first fight, he just wasn't aggressive enough with it and Lawler's pressure bothered him, I just don't think he is the same fighter as then. Dude is 25 and coming into his prime, think he is the best in the WW division right now.

Just don't see a a lot of pathways to victory for Lawler. Only thing I'd really worry about is if Lawler can close distance without being taken down. Rory's issue in the past has been fighting almost too conservative and methodical, if Lawler just rushes him and disrupts rhythm early then hopefully he doesn't fold. Lawler has definitely shown more will and grit in his career but Rory has all the tools.

Not sure on McGregor/Mendes really. All things being = I'd like Mendes but could see the short camp hurting him. Also, if there was ever incentive to gift a decision to someone for financial purposes, it would be McGregor so the Aldo fight stays intact.

What a Fn nightmare. Halfway to another Owen6 already. Found out Demarco has NYM too late.

Royals score early, then threaten in the second. Despite being up 1-0, when they didn't score with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the second inning with one out, I knew I was fucked. Turns out I was right. Why the hell is it so easy to be accurate when you predict your own plays will lose during the games?

My Mets -0.5 for 1st 5 play starts awesome...they're already down 2-0, and it might take this team a week to score two runs.

I've already cut my play size down during this recent slump. Slashing them in half again...this just blows.

Scott...start a continuous thread on Monday for what? The HR Derby? :) Let's wait until after the ASG...I doubt even the worst of us degens will be playing that.

I figured I'd get it started Monday to see how the group conducts itself. Besides, maybe Wabash will have horses, Superbeets some soccer. Also I hear The Sheriff is getting ready to post his Jai alai Plays and AceBB some bocce ball.
