However “fake” you believe the number of dead may be, and however hard the CDC may start cooking numbers (like China and Russia, now that Birx has laid down the law), the “facts” of Covid 19 deaths (from a variety of truth-telling sources like Johns Hopkins), will be slapped on Trump, come November, like a rotten-sweet-potato pie in the face. If those numbers in the Fall turn as bad as predicted with a second-wave tsunami of the Coronavirus, and deaths in the U.S. start running between 400,000 and half a million, the media, which despises Trump (which he despises in turn), will hammer him bloody over his diddling response to the pandemic in February and March, and his prompting of states, now, to “reopen” before they’re ready. They will make him “own” those American deaths, regardless of whatever blame-game strategy he employs; and with the economy still in tatters, not even Wall Street and his Red Herd will save him from being a one-term president.

A Biden win in November, with Harris as VP seems pretty likely. However, assuming he’s still breathing in 2024, or even if he’s not, his “success” with Covid 19 (thanks only to a vaccine), will be old news, and the economy, and what will be, by then, the eye-popping debt of the U.S. will be the issues in the 2024 campaign. Neither Biden or Harris will have the answers, and the media, which loves Biden this year, and has never loved Harris at all, will turn on them like a rabid dog, leaving Republican prospects very healthy. Assuming Florida governor Ron DeSantis can hold the line, now, against Trump’s pressure to reopen his state recklessly (thereby keeping infections and deaths down), he could emerge as one of the few Covid 19, Republican heroes, and have a good path to the 2024 nomination. The media may try to paint him as just another Trump sycophant – which he has been - but his Covid 19 success story will be undeniable.

A far more scarier prediction is that there will be no NFL Season this year; and “NO!” I won’t bet on that, because the whole thing gives me nightmares.

Disappear in November because of a Biden win? I’ll “disappear” for certain if there’s an NFL season, but if there isn’t, all that Red Herd whining and hair-pulling would be, at least, something to look forward to.

If everybody who said they would fade my picks did so, lines would change everywhere. If anybody’s going to fade my picks, it’ll be me…And, now I’m confused. I’m old. Leave me alone.

your ilk are the like minded posters on this forum, like Donger and Duuuuhfeces

Nancy is the face of the democratic party, it's leader, the most powerful person in your party

If you don't know who Nancy is, you shouldn't venture into the political arena

Well, I’ve checked, and my “ilk” has voted for more Republicans in the course of my life, than the averaged IQ of the Red Herd – which I’d put a slightly less than 40. And I’ve yet to find any “like-minded” Republicans in this thread, but there are a couple here, like me, who loathe the persistent stupidity of the Red Herd – if that’s what you meant. And I do know who you meant by “Nancy”. I was making the kind of joke the Red Herd can’t get, and I should have known better.

You can't be a Republican and loathe the president. Those dots don't connect, which makes you a liar of some sort (or a fool)

Please don't talk about intelligence, you'll only embarrass yourself, although you probably won't realize it

What do Republicans stand for

Adherence to the Constitution
Judges that call balls and strikes, not judges that legislate from the bench
Personal freedoms
Lower taxes
Fewer regulations
Tapping our own energy sources
Better trade deals
Securing the borders
creating manufacturing jobs
Enabling people to help themselves

and even banning late term abortions

So we finally get a politician that checks all those boxes, and you're a "republican" that loathes him?

JFC, just stop, that's as dumb as it comes. But like I said, you have no idea what I'm talking about.

You loathe him because you're part of the "safe space" crowd, boo fucking hoo

Can’t be Republican and loathe Trump? Sure you can. Trump is a pure RINO - a loathsome, incompetent, and ragingly ignorant buffoon, who consistently treats the Constitution and the law, as if it applies to anyone but him. His appeal extends only to the Red Herd, to whom he panders to their petty hatreds, but every Republican I know (and who held their nose voting for him 2016, to keep Hillary out), is quite embarrassed by him – and it would have taken a Sanders’ nomination to make them do it again. They may not vote for Biden, but Trump has burned all bridges to the intelligent side of his party, and they won’t dirty their hands with him again.

Didn’t know a specific response to your list was required.
Let’s see….
Adherence to the Constitution – goes without saying
Judges that call balls and strikes, not judges that legislate from the bench – thing is, if you know anything about American law, you know that judges “legislate from the bench” all the time, and always have. It’s called “establishing precedent”, and it’s why we have judges and not computers making judicial decisions. I like judges.
Personal freedoms – needs to be defined
Lower taxes – sure – but only if the government pays its bills, which it hasn’t done since Clinton was in office.
Fewer regulations – again, you need to be specific.
Tapping our own energy sources – hey, I like the idea of tapping the energy sources of other countries first. If we can, and the cost isn’t great.
Better trade deals – as opposed to what? Worse trade deals?
Securing the borders – no opinion, really. Too much bullshit about it, for me to offer an opinion. Keep out the zombies, though. That’s a must.
creating manufacturing jobs – There are arguments for and against, the need for jobs, balanced against tolerance of pollution. Higher prices for consumers if manufactured here, and lower prices if manufactured elsewhere. I’m sure the Red Herd knows what’s best, even if they don’t know squat, but I don’t.
Enabling people to help themselves – Not sure what you mean. Some can be enabled, others not (and that’s something I know about).
and even banning late term abortions – I’ve always considered abortion a woman’s issue – but, if I were a woman, I’d favor a ban – I think. I guess this isn’t one of those “personal freedoms”?

I thought maybe you had a few specifics about policies you don't like. Sure talked like you did

I'll just correct a few points, something conservatives should know

Tax revenues have surged since Trump's tax cuts. Not a revenue issue, it's a spending issue. It's always about spending.

The budget Clinton signed was authored by Newt Gingrich. Bubba shut down the government trying to retake the house. When that failed, he signed Newt's budget which was opposed by the Democrats. That budget was successful because it combined TAX CUTS with a reduction in the growth of spending. The last attempt we've made to reduce spending

When a baby can survive outside the womb, it's a person protected by his or her own constitutional rights

As for everything else, simply not worthy.

But do someday tell us what Trump policies you hate. You must know why you hate him

So, conservatives should be happy revenues are up? And, I suppose deficit spending is all the fault of the big bad Democrats? The naivete of the Red Herd might charming if it weren’t so damned annoying.

High-revenues make me fucking upchuck – as it would any true conservative - and the uncontrolled spending by corrupt Democrats and hypocritical Republicans, makes me just as sick. Both parties pander to the stupid - like the Red Herd - while serving their deep-pocketed backers; and neither party gives a rat-fuck about fiscal responsibility.

About late-term abortion, when you make it a constitutional issue, so do the pro-abortion advocates; and, although it really is about “personal freedoms”, I just think it’s wrong.

And I don’t hate Trump. He’s in a job he never really expected land, and for which he has no competence whatever – none, zip, nada – and every time he speaks (with vanity oozing from every pore), knowing that he’s the face of America (and, in a way, the face of the Republican party), he embarrasses me down to my toes – as he should for any intelligent American.

But, never Red Herd half-wits. When he mumbles your petty hatreds, you’re all agog with mindless adulation; and, when he acclaims himself as “the greatest”, you’re awe before him becomes nearly divine, while the rest of America – the rest of the friggin world – just shakes its collective head in wonder.

Anyway – just noticed: you’re not a New England “Patriots” fan, are you? If you are, consider my despise-o-meter just pegged into the red – LOL
