According to TMZ, neither Simmons nor anyone in his family is actually a suspect — the LAPD believe that someone either downloaded child porn on one of their computers on used their internet to do so. Simmons was away on tour when the downloads occurred, and the family is cooperating fully with law enforcement. Weirdly and unfortunately, this is now the second KISS-adjacent child pornography case in the past year.[/h]

Yes it's a horrible thing, but again, we're talking time, money, and manpower that could be dedicated to far more important problems.

Having enough common sense to prioritize things of importance is apparently something lacking with both police & politicians...

Oh don't get me wrong, i have kids so i agree that this is a GOOD thing to do.

Just don't think it ranks as one of the more important issues they could concentrate on with OUR money, most being related to people's safety & security, rather than chasing a few perverts....

Hache's post that investigating and punishing child pornography shouldn't be given as a high a priority as it is by our government has to be the biggest WTF post of the month.

Im not sure I can think of many crimes that should be given a higher priority???

I heard that also......Somebody did something in that house on that computer....Like I said,the same thing was said about Jared Fogle then all of a sudden he was charged.

This investigation led them to this house and computer......This is not by accident......Like I said stay tuned!....LOL

I have kids & don't have a twisted way at looking at it.
I merely think & see deeper than the surface.

From my knowledge of reading these stories and working for 15yrs closely with police:

1. It's mainly/usually pics rather than videos
2. It's generally the same material circulating for years & years & not new child pornography being developed.
3. In many or most instances the material WOULDN'T EVEN BE THERE tempting sickos if authorities weren't putting it up to lure & set ppl up!

Safe to say we have very different opinions on this subject. I don't think I've ever seen anyone advocate prosecuting this type of crime less.

Its possibly the most obscene and reprehensible crime there is. If anything, we need to be much more aggressive in prosecuting such a heinous crime.

I think these perverts should be prosecuted but let's put this in perspective. We as a society allow dangerous drugs (alcohol and tobacco) to be legal and sold. Innocent people die because of this. People are maimed for life because we allow these harmful substances to be legal but we should because prohibition doesn't work and it won't work with child porn either. These people will find a way to get it anyway.

If they molest a child put them in jail. But the war on drugs didn't work and neither will this effort. It never has.

arresting some coke heads doesn't stop the production of cocaine one iota

Pedophilia is the most despicable act in my book... along with child and animal cruelty.

I'd rather befriend a hitman than any of the above... a hitman, a drug dealer, a thief all rank better than those and even wife beaters are lower scum in my book.
