I was screwing around last night and tried Step 1 for 500 FPP. Well, long story short, I ended up moving up in three consecutive sit and go's and am now up to Step 4.

I am wondering if anyone has tried this? At this point I can play in a satellite to get to a couple different $500 plus buy in tournaments OR I can keep going up the ladder and try to get into the SCOOP main event in April, which is a 10k buy-in. So I guess my question is, do I try for the 500 dollar buy in tment now or gamble and try to continue up the ladder (there are 6 steps total).

That's tough. If it was me, I'd keep going. You're doing something right (or someone or thing wants you to win, lol)

GL with whatever you decide.

hmmm... me i'd take this money and run (into the $500 tourney). If you lose... do u fall ALL THE WAY off the ladder? I'm not familiar with how this works. If you don't.. then proceed to build up to that big one.

I have played steps many times....back during the WSOP qualifiers, I played in step 6 twice (didnt win, but took home $1000 and $1500 I think)....

I think your best course of action is to take your step 4 and enter a $215 tourney (sunday warm-up, million, second chance, etc.)

use another 500 pts and try again.....be happy you scored a big ticket and use attempt #2 for bigger jackpots....

I like this idea the most of anything i have heard, and Ive asked a few different friends that play pretty regularly. I actually still have a step 2 ticket that I forgot about so I can just start from there and try to work all the way up. Im gonna play the satellite to get into the Sunday 500 and see what happens.

Thanks for the input guys

playing in the sunday $500 sounds awesome, but just clarifying....

you do realize that you can take your step 4 ticket and directly buy into any Multi-table tourney that is $215 right?

I decided to go right into the $215 (instead of trying to go up to the 500) because I realized I'm not balla enough to play in the BIG tourneys....even in the $215 I'm pretty nervous and can't play "normal"....The $500 would have me even more passive than the $215.

500 pts is essentially nothing....whatever you do, keep that in mind...if you score big, fantastic!...but if you bust out empty, no big loss and no need to tilt

Another thing to think about is after u get past step 4 there are "PRO'S" buying in directly to those just to get a crack at playing the weaker opponents....regardless if you get there via steps its still a $500 or $1000 sng and if thats not your level you will have a LOT of trouble beating that level.....

Also im not sure but the SCOOP steps may not pay out in $T's but in $W's..........which i think can only be used in big Stars events ...better ck on that. I have the name of a player who will give u almost face value in cash for $W's.....

Actually, I had no idea i could do that. I thought the tickets were non-transferrable and I could only use them for Steps events and satellites that are attached to them. Again, I have never done steps before so this is new to me. Honestly, I would probably rather just play in the Sunday Million and be done with it. I have played in it twice (always by way of a satellite) and failed to cash both times.

Funny enough, almost exact same thing happened to me. I was dickin around and decided to do step one and made it to step 2 without much problem. I couldnt find my ticket on my cashier so I searched around and found the tickets page.

Low and behold I have a ticket for stage 4 that I forgot about, now what to do!
