Well, I am justing writing my experiences.
First of all, I love bonuses. Who doesn't?

But there are many sites that offer good bonus.............NOT.

It should be good. But in order to get the bonus requirement, i think we have to play so many hands. For an examples, to get $10 bonus- you have to play at least 2 full days.

I deposited $100 to get 20 or 30 % bonus, and I played very careful on 25c (that is what they require to have a rake hand) table, and had so many rakes hands. and I lost my initial deposite. But still I don't meet the POINT or whatever.

I ain't go put another money to get the bonus.

I think we better share about good site.

Here is mine.

------Easy to get the bonus-----
Party poker - but i do not like them. Never won. lol But easy bonus. Fastest deposite and withdrawl.

Empire Poker - same as Party poker, but you can get bonus there even if you have an acct w/ Partypoker, easy bons

Golden Palace - Great. easy bonus. Great action point that you can play free roll tournement. one thing i do not like DELAY cash out. takes abou 3 days.
but they pay. You have to fax your ID to cash out. Another problem.

Dolye's room - Great.. Same as Golen Palace. Like Party and Empire. Same network. Don't need to fax your ID. (Good). Faster payment then Golden. that is why they are on the RX.com links.

Bet365 - Great. they are good always. but don't like the software.

PokerStars - have an acct. haven't tried yet. lol

------- Hard or never see the bonus -----------

Paradise --- Sound easy bonus Nah~~. i hate it. they said 25c or more play will count a rake on the bonus page. But it is not true, the pot also has to be more than $10 or more. R U Kidding? I knew this after i sent email to them 3 times.

Ultimate Bet (UB) -- many ppl like their site. NoT me. Software is not bad. but HARD TO GET THE BONUS.

I am not bonus whore, but I like to get it before I deposite another at least.

So let me know other site info.

let's share.

My top pick: Doyle's room. great software. too many games. Even if you have 10c in ur acct, you can still play. Not bad!

People in the know say that Doylesroom is the fastest growing poker site on the internet.Brunson's book is a walking advertisement for the site. Rumors are circulating that Doylesroom will be bought up by one of the bigger sites because of the popularity of Brunson among the younger players. This site has some of the best software of all the on-line sites that I've played on. Brunson himself plays on the site regularly. Go Mr. Brunson.

If you havent tried BOWMANS free $100 offer, I would suggest that.

$30 after 100 raked hands

$70 after another 400 raked hands

After getting used to their software, I really enjoy it.

I'm in the process right now of arguing with this customer serviceless book about those bonuses right now. they DO NOT answer emails of any kind...PERIOD.

They claim i recieved the 30 dollar bonus, oddly enough just days after i can no longer see the date on my account..you cannot in any way see ur raked hands, you have to take their word for it...and apparently the bonus as well....i never saw it, they say i got it...and of couse their promise to email me the transaction documentation hasnt happened either...soooooooo

they say i needed 44 more hands to get the 70.00, it will be automaticily added just as the 30.00 was......guess what?? you got it...NO BONUS!

Might i add that their rules and software suck as well. somebody raise you and you don't want to call?? just sit there and time out..you get a free shot at the guys money. Against the rules???? at most sites yes, but bowmans seems to encourage it..run out of all-ins and they'll gladly add more...no questions asked...

One more complaint...the high dollar tables are rampant with colluders..im talking no shame colluders..you get 3 players from istanbul at the table, 2 fold and the other raises 5x the pot virtually every hand....but bowmans finds nothing wrong.

i get my bonuses today, then withdraw everything or i will be lighting up every poker forum i can find with my review of the bowmans site.....im not a happy camper:hump:

Been with them 2 weeks and I absolutely love them thus far.........strange.

Granted, I may be judging them to early.

Will see how I feel a month from now.

Thanks for sharing your opinion..........very informative.

Good post, poker bonuses certainly aren't easy money. With sites like Ultimate and Full Tilt you better be able to beat the game and just view a bonus as gravy, as DDz00 is right, they aren't easy to get.

I like everything about Doyle's Room except the 9-seat ring tables. The site isn't busy enough for me most of the time, probably because I play limit rather than NL. I prefer a little more choice when it comes to table selection. I hope they grow; I'll certainly support them.

Bonuses at UB and Stars are essentially equivalent to playing rake-free. They're slow to clear but easily doable. It's free money; it would be un-American not to take them up on it.

Party bonuses are the fastest and easiest to clear IMO.

The games at Doylesroom are very soft the 20-40 and 50-100 from what I hear are pretty good but keep in mind when you go up in stakes the level of competition gets better. Also Doylesroom does not have any stud which is kind of a bumer as I like to play stud. But over-all this site is good as any,and they pay there customers.

It's now official...Bowmans will not pay nor provide details of how they said they pd the bonus i was due 2 weeks ago and will not pay me the further 70%.

they say they did pay the 30....but i never got it, it doesnt show up anywhere in my account history including the day it was supposedly paid...now they say that after playing colluding arabs on 2/4$ tables for 2 hours, barely keeping my shirt i might add, that i played a grand total of 1 raked hand...1 !!!! and they say it with a straight face !! so obviously im never going to see the 70% now..

o by the way..in all the time they've had this..im the only one who ever had a problem...no really they said so themselves:lolBIG:

DDz00, the bonus is not free money but an incentive to play. You are obviously new to poker since you don't understand the meaning of a raked hand.

The rake is the money taken out of the pot that gives money to company for the service. If the rules state that you get 1 point at 25 cent rake this has nothing to do with playing at 25 cent table stables. Most sites rake 5% to $3. This means that they will remove 5% from the pot until they have taken out a total of $3. Most (but not all) will not take anything out of the pot until it reaches $5 when they rake 25 cents. In any case when you are playing at 25 cent stake tables many hands will have pots that are less than $5 and will not qualify for the minimum rake condition. So you will end up playing many more hands than the minimum number if they were all raked. The number of excess hands will be far fewer at higher stakes (say $1/2).

Many of these bonuses are structured so that 100 raked hands return $10 bonus. So each raked hand is worth 10 cents in bonus. Consider a 10 player holdem table. If everyone is collecting a bonus, then collectively the players are getting back $1 from the rake. If you play where a $10 pot is required for full bonus and it meets the above conditions you are getting a good deal.

Now I don't expect you to be able to analyze the details of the rake. It is something many seasoned poker players don't consider altough there is a group of sophisticated players that take the rake into consideration when deciding whether a game is worth playing.

I know most online poker sites are doing well but you can't expect them to simply give away money without requiring play. The way I look at it, a poker bonus is only worth taking if you were planning to play poker anyway.
