POKER in CASINO's QUESTION???

Pennsylvania recently boomed with many casinos; however, they only have slots and racebooks. Needless to say, tables are not a matter of "if" but "when".

So here is the question: Currently, is it against the law to have poker rooms even though traditional games, such as blackjack, are not yet available? I say this because, with poker, everyone uses his or her own cash rather than the casino's cash?

Am I making sense? Thoughts?

I doubt it...in most states poker is not illegal at all as long as the house doesnt take a cut. Naturally the casino will get a cut (the rake) . The thing is poker costs the casino a lot more to run than a slot machine. U need a dealer, floorman, etc. Where as a slot machine only needs a 110v outlet. You have to pay these people full time w benefits....

So thats prolly what they waiting on....wanting to make sure these people will be working and not just standing around waiting on players to show up....and again the space those poker tables take up will show more profit with slots in them than poker tables..

Makes a lot of sense. I am sure that the PA casinos love the fact they only have slots at the moment.

As for the 110v machines. The only thing we have going for us now is that the bigger ones may require 220v outlets lol.
