Hi folks, just want to clarify something. Please make sure your picks are accurate to the posted lines. For example:

Don't write "NY Islanders -150" when the proper pick is "NY Islanders +.5 -150" etc.

All such inaccuracies have been and will be graded "no action".

Thank you!

I'll make every effort to update the standings the following morning. And as always, please check your record against mine.

No offense but if they list a play wrong but it is clear what the pick is then they should be graded. Is there a rule saying incorrectly listed posts will not be graded?

EGD, personally I agree with you but I had another poster point it out. Tell you what, should we have a vote on it? I'm easy either way, my only concern is if the contestants agree.

How 'bout it folks? How do you want me to handle this?

I'm totally ok with a vote. I hope I didn't come off like an asshole as that wasn't my intention.

I'd just hate to see some players lose some games they won.

That was my problem EGD, I accidentally posted wrong, but it was clear what I meant and I got it graded as no action.

Gambl0r, I totally understand. I am sure the people complaining are the people behind and any extra sh*t that can get on someone they are going to try and do. If you look at my plays from that day you can clearly tell what I meant, but thats up to you. I am glad you agree with me, let me know what you can do. Thanks for all of the help.

Kris1, thanks for understanding. Tell you what, executive decision time. I will grade it as a win, like I did in the first place. It will show up after I grade tonight games.

And this is directed to everybody: Please be careful when posting picks so we don't go through this again. Thanks and good luck.

Kris it has nothing to do with being behind. Yes, I am behind but this posting error doesn't even apply to me but I'm just looking out for everyone.

I completely understand that EGD, all I was saying is that you could tell what I meant. I will be clear from now on.

this is crazy.. I don't care what decision you come up with, but this will only cause havoc. Here is why..

Why now won't everyone try to take shots and place all their bets here as -150 rather than -.5 -150. This way, they have nothing to lose. If they slip one by gamblor, they are laughing, and if they don't, nothing happens, hey, it's a mistake by them, so they're sorry. It is going to be easy now for me to write all the lines wrong, and just hope for the best.. Hey, look at this, Habs are -.5 -140 tonight.. Why not write them at +.5 -140, and if it's a tie game, I win, instead of lose. It is not easy for the grader to always pick this off, trust me. Hockey is very tricky at times if you are not used to the sport.

If you can't write the lines down properly, sorry, tough luck, you snoooze, you lose. It should be like that for everyone, or this will turn out a mess, and gamblor will have a tougher job, believe me. What if someone writes +.5 instead of -.5 or total of 5, instead of 5.5. he will just say, ahhhh, you know what I meant.. Gamblor, your job is going to be 35x harder if you give everyone always the benefit of the doubt and give them the chance to fight you for it..

Stand on your 2 feet and say.. LINE IS NOT RIGHT, NO ACTION.. Period... and the same for all.. trust me on this one.

also, what happens if some players put in 4 plays. is it only the first 3 that count no matter what, or what. And can you edit your games 8 hrs later. This is silly because if all your games move against you, you will just change it. Try doing that offshore..They will hang up on your face. And gamblor, can you actually be able to handle someone putting in his plays at 9pm, and you knowing that his games have all not started yet, or is this tricky for you and involves more work.. because maybe we should say to all, that all plays must be in by 7pm, because i know it's hard work for you to have to always check each game to make sure they haven't started yet..

The rules were already established & should be kept as such. I'm sorry but regardless of how many plays are listed, the "actual" lines are available & I think the people in the contest have enough class to try & not pull anything. Only cheaters would think they would do something unethical but then.....

Good post, sick. I'm going to stand by my decision to grade Kris' as a win but in the future I think we should have a "no tolerance" rule. Please don't make me responsible for figuring out what you meant by your picks.

I'm willing to let people pick until the posted game time but if we start having a past-posting problem I will cut it off at 7:00 EST

No offense but you can't cut anyone off. The rules were already set & should NOT be changed. Why is it some are always trying to change the rules after they were already set & agreed upon.

OK, my mind is mush from all the grading and arguing so I'm outta here. I agree the players can post up to game time.

Good luck everyone.

i have no complaints about the way it is going so far. I think it is going great and we have a great grader this year. I was just trying to make gambl0r's job a little easier. I know how tough it can be with the grading and the starting times, and all.

Lets keep it this way, and I just hope everyone can put in the right lines and all, and be honorable and not take shots.. I will also be watching to make sure no one does this crap. If we see the same people trying to pull a fast one, (which i doubt) then gambl0r can give them a warning or something, but I'm sure all will be ok..

Gambl0r, you decide what is easier for you and we'll go by this.

Thanks again.. Keep up the good work..

As a casual fan I think the no tolerance rule should apply. There is really to much money at stake to allow people to take free shots at catching a break. We can all read and type. So I agree from I guess Tuesday the 22 going forward no tolerance works my vote. I appreciate the time your spending on this already. bobk

Gambl0r thanks again. I didnt know an honest mistake would cause such an uprising. My bad. I will make sure from now on I have everything as it should be. Once again thanks for the help and keep up the good work.
