Outside of Big12 fans that think Baylor got snubbed, the playoff worked very well.

If the BCS was still around either Bama or Oregon would have been left out more than likely. That would have been a huge injustice for fans of the sport.

The system isn't perfect, but it's helluva better than what we had.

not really. all 4 of the power 5 conferences that have a championship game got all 4 bids. why did the powers that be not just say that from day 1 instead of claiming it was a merit based final 4

Sounds good. Bama/Oregon needed to be in. FSU is undefeated...flawed....but nonetheless undefeated. You could probably take OSU/TCU/Baylor and drsw a name out of a hat and you'd have a decent case to make...though I think that they got it "best" with OSU.

And, it worked out so that Georgia/Nebraska arebt playing a third year, heard the possibilty was there.

Well, they always stated the conference champions was going to be one of the deciding factors. We just didnt know how much, and couldnt until the final week......think the B12 political move backfired?

They didnt say that from day 1 b/c thats NOT the way it is.

If Ga Tech had beaten FSU , the acc would have been left out. If Wisc had beaten OSU , the Big-10 would have been left out.

It WAS merit based.

Speaking of the old BCS

FSU vs Bama

Oregon would be left holding the bag.

UGA gets the Belk vs Louisville.

At least CMR can gain back some dignity if he can hammer Grantham

What cracks me up is what would have could have should have happened if Georgia Tech would have beaten Florida St. They did not have to deal with that although that might have opened the door for Baylor. Just because it is a done deal does not mean that it was done right.
