Anyone want to take a stab? I'd like to know what the Chicago-Calgary series price will be.

without Regehr, Sarich and a banged up Phaneuf I'd guess Chicago -190.

I'd be all over Chicago at -190. Calgary is limping into the playoffs and I think they'll likely get swept.

People that watch the Flames all the time know that Phane-f is a terrible player. Regehr is the heart and so-l of the D. Sorry I can't type the letter that comes between t and v, off to b-y a new keyboard I go.

If Calgary is gonna be +200 or better, sign me up. I don't care who's missing on the back end. If I can have the two best forwards and best goalie, I will take that value any day.

I don't watch them all the time and even I can tell you that Phaneuf has had a bad year.

I've heard the same thing about Regehr from many sharp people.

Jokinen and Cammilleri are not chopped liver
I've watched 90% of their games and they are NOT playing well right now. But they CAN beat the Hawks if Kipper steps up

Those numbers seem a little high to me Vic. They basically had identical records on the season and when you get down to Keenan vs Quineville and Khabibulin vs. Kiprusoff If Calgary's anything over +160 that has to be where the value lies. Neither one finished the season setting any records.

Agreed... my estimate is strictly based on the current health of the two teams.

I don't see either team getting past the second round

That's ok, half the guys in here don't believe the Wings belong either.

The Wings are a great, great team. Only SJ and Boston are in their league.

Robyn Regehr is hands down the best defenseman on the Calgary Flames. Anytime he's out, betting against Calgary is a good idea. Regehr gets little credit throughout the league because he's not a point producer a la Phanuef. Any Flames fan will tell you that Regehr is ten times the player that Phaneuf is in terms of overall defensive ability. If the Blackhawks are in the -180 range heading into this series, I'll be making a large bet on them to knock out the Flames. The Flames, as someone stated above, are playing terrible terrible hockey right now. Kipper is tired and our backup is quite possibly the worst goalie I've ever see play the game at the NHL level. Sarich, Regehr and now possibly Phaneuf out. That's three of our top four defenseman. Jokinen and Iginla have showed no chemistry since the first period of Jokinen's first game. I have a buddy who is a hardcore Flames fan, season ticket holder, never misses a game, and he think that the Flames have a zero per cent chance of winning the series. He's a real homer too!

I'll tell you one thing.
They just may in fact be going down......but their not going down without a fight. And Chicago has got some scrappers on their team as well. Sutter, Kennan, Iginla....those guys all represent a lot of pride in that team. 2 years ago was a joke with the assistant [can't remember his name] running the team.[they didnt respect him] and last season was Keenan's first. Their not playing well right now but your going to see a good effort out of Calgary this time around. They may be resting guys right now getting them healthy as their's not much to play for right now. This is gonna be a fantastic series to watch. Ben Eager, Andre Roy, those guys are going to get some playoff minutes. I hope this series doesn't coincide with my Red Wing games.

Chicago is -150 at olympic. Great price, it won't last once the Calgary injury news comes out. Phaneuf will play but he is very hurt.
