Bought in for $50 at Partypoker played about 20 minutes of $1/$2 at a real short table. Pretty intimidating stuff for a newbie, cashed out at $49.25, for .75 loss. Fixin to go back in a few.

My name is Cooterkitty. I wanted something vaquely female sounding, so took my cat's name and added kitty.

Pretty weird game when starting out.

This shit is very user- unfriendly ! I give up for now ! I don't want to call them because every time I use phone wife picks up line, which pisses me off even more ! No simple log-in thing, it wants to download again, real fucked up site.

A sportsbook user should be able to do this with ease, if site is set up for a gambler. Both thumbs down to this online poker, so far !

DOUG---Why in the world would you sign up with Partypoker when you have heard all the good things said about Doyles and other rooms here on the TheRX?

Doyles has by far the most user friendly software that I have ever seen.......plus the graphics are great!

Partypoker is ok, but vastly overrated.

Definitely move down a level. If you are a beginner (even if you have playedlive a lot, online is a different beast), you should be at the nickel-dime or dime-quarter tables. Playing 1-2 with $50 as a beginner, you will more than likely lose your roll fairly quick.

Agree that there are tons of other poker sites out there better than party.

The name "Cooterkitty" doesn't sound very female to me. :lolBIG:

good post Poker jim...

Plus I think 50$ is to small a Bankroll to start with ...even for a beginner Doug you should start with 200$ as you will probably lose the 50$ rather quick...Try to double it over TIME....it could take you 2 months but you can double your roll then withdraw then you are playing on there money...be patient, if the cards are not coming at all...GET UP AND LEAVE THE TABLE...do not do what many people do and chase with bad cards.

best of luck:toast:

Signing up with Partypoker allows me to enter a last man standing NFL contest for 5k that Sherwood offers at his site. I expect about 100 in it, so that's worth about $50. $50 is the minimum sign-up to qualify.

You have as much of a chance at winning that as you do getting struck by lightning, while making a hole-in-one, after bowling a perfect game.

Wouldn't I have to be playing ? I'm kind of busy now, getting ready for flight Thurs. I may try briefly much later.
