Pittsburgh vs Colorado on 03/22 by Jay_Robinson

Handicapper Analysis 0
Wednesday’s sports betting slate is a bit thinner this week than usual, but this game between the Penguins (34-26-10) and Avalanche (41-22-6) looks pretty tasty. Pittsburgh’s long run of quality play with Sidney Crosby has come to an end; at minus-0.01 on the Simple Rating System at Hockey Reference, the Pens are worse than league-average for the first time since they last missed the playoffs in 2006, Crosby’s rookie year. The Avalanche (plus-0.58 SRS) aren’t quite as strong as last year’s Cup winners, but they’re way better than Pittsburgh, and FiveThirtyEight have them winning Wednesday’s game 70% of the time, which makes –170 at Caesars Sportsbook a bargain price.
