Pittsburgh / Georgia Tech Thoughts

I really like Pitt in tonites situation they find themselves in. Tonight they are traveling (this will be their "2nd" road game) to visit Georgia Tech as a 7.5 pt favorite. Tonites first road game since Jan. 4th where they beat the 11-5 NC State 74-62 will be a great time to grow some momentum before heading into the Carrier Dome to Face #2 Syracuse on Saturday. A win tonite keeps them .5 games outta first and in second place in the conference before heading into face conference Leader Syracuse. A lose drops them down to a tie for 3rd with Clemson and Florida State while propelling Virginia into 2nd place. Not a situation you wanna be in heading into Saturday facing The Orangemen. A win tonite and lose Saturday still keeps them .5 out but a lose both nites drops them down to 2.5 out. That is the same amount of games out Georgia Tech is tonite. I think they know this is one of those "must win" games.

Could be look-ahead game for Pitt (@ Syracuse on Saturday). Also just lost one of their better players off the bench for the year (Durand Johnson). Not saying they don't have enough to cover tonight, but there might be better spots to play Pitt.
