Pit should take this with a rookie QB making his first MNF appearance for Balt.

Balt not known to play well on the road.

Big concern though is the Pit Offensive line

Don't like a Rookie QB on the road. I will take my chances with the Steelers.

19-16 PITT... .Ravens defense is for real... Pitt O line is suspect... rookie RB will not run wild.. Flaco will play it safe to the vest... both defenses show up big here. Last yeat when Balt lost 38-7 at Heinz Ravens defense was banged up in a big way with both corners out.

Being a Ravens fan I'd actually like to bet on Pitt in this situation on a Monday Night @ home.

The only thing keeping me off them is Casey Hampton being out along with Brett Kiesel. This will allow a little more running room for the Ravens ground game. Although I still don't see many yards being gained on the ground by either team.

Starting CB Samari Rolle is out for the Ravens. This puts in Corey "Pick on me cause I can't cover anybody" Ivy. This guy is absolutely horrible. Several times last year he got the start due to injuries and I swear teams would walk up to the line, point at him, knowing he's the weak link and throw it to who-ever he was covering all game. I'm pretty sure his shadow loses him.

Going to be a smashmouth type of game as always.

PGH was embarassed at last weeks performance.
Lots of heat on the oline and OC. They will make
adjustments this week.
The Steelers will spread the field and throw short passes to
keep the heat off Big Ben. This is good for Mendenhall, who
had great success running the ball in the spread at Ill.
Though traditionally it's hard to run against the Ravens D.
Polamalu is playing at an mvp type level, 3 picks in 3 games,
he is all over the field. PGH 23- Balt-16

This is to open up the season. Has any rookie QB won his first 3 games?

This is basically a Balt or nothing play for me.

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but does anyone remember the Monday night game in Pittsburg last year when the field was a mud volleyball field? LOL, I lost my ass on that game!

I think Pitt wins 20-10. I love Flacco, and he'll be just as good if not better than Big Ben in the long run, but right now he's still a rookie making his first road start in one of the worst situations possible. I really don't like their running game either. They will need turnovers to win this game.
