BWE, Pinnacle is top shelf. And don't put too much stock in the OSGA. They are a joke. The OSGA recommemds BetonSports. Thats all you need to know that the OSGA is on the take.

If they just paid this player $3K a month ago, why require all the ID stuff a month later from the same guy? They obviously knew him.

I've never been asked to fax a copy of ID for a payout before.

I appreciate a book making sure they're not paying the wrong person. If they had reason to suspect the ID & Password had fallen into the wrong hands, they shouldn't have been allowing any action on that account until identity was verified.

I ALLWAYS WRITE SEE ID IN big black letters where the signature is suppose to be on all my credit cards. Impossible for anyone but me to use now (except for gas etc.), but you know the guy is not going to the mall with then.

Very scary thread. I almost posted up with them this week, but instead chose BoDog, Hollywood and CRIS.

Good luck.

Sounds like they are stalling. Could be waiting on the next guy to post up $4K so they can pay you.

I will say this is very contradictory to everything I've read on the RX about Pinnacle. I've only seen good things about Pinnacle up to this point.

If it makes you feel any better, Pinnacle is now a recommended book at OSGA. I don't think they have always been recommended over there. Not sure if that really means anything, but I've always played with OSGA books and never had a problem getting paid. Hollywood is my only venture into "non-OSGA" waters. I only sent them money because of the good things I've read about them here. I assume they're solid.

Your joking with your statement, correct. If not do yourself a favor and stop betting, your a complete idiot.

I can't believe this thread has lasted this long. Pinnacle pays in most cases in minutes. Shocking that someone who has unsigned credit cards is having a delay in getting paid?? If Pinnacle is making sure they aren't getting screwed, I'll side with them.

Dante, call me crazy, but I NEVER SIGN my credit cards. I write "Check ID" on the back where the signature panel is.

Anyone can forge a signature, I think it should be mandatory to check ID's when making a credit card purchase.

I agree Bigbet. Check ID is the safest route. The thing that sux is some cashiers never even look at the back.

I knew that others as well do not sign the back of their credit cards. I know this because my brother owns a local big name electronics franchise, and he estimates that only about 40% of people sign the back. The franchise headquarters asks that each cashier check the back of EACH AND EVERY card though and if no signature, then they MUST see a DL!

That is the safest way for the customer AND the store

No one has answered the question: If there was suspected identity fraud, why was the player allowed to wager? Why was the account not suspended until the identity of the player was confirmed?

It is not ok to allow wagering on an account where identity theft is suspected.

Also, they have had my ID sent to them before to receive other payouts of $3000 and $5500 last year!

BY the way, RX crew, was it really neccessary to change the title of my post without even asking or making a comment about it??

I doubt that they actually suspect identity fraud. To my knowledge the reason books make customers go through this process is to help protect themselves against chargebacks. Even if a book has all this information, it is still possible to chargeback, but the more info they have, the better the chances are they can win or maybe not even have the client do it at all. I take major issue with this process however when a customer never uses a credit card and the book still wants the ID on file. I have walked away from funds before, just to avoid this. I never post up someplace anymore without calling and making sure that this will not be a issue.

Agreed---I look at Books like this as 2nd rate. No credit card---where is the chargeback?? It's called BULLs###.

When you guys say chargebacks, I guess you are talking about a book who has accepted post up monies via Visa/MasterCard/Discover? Basically, the books are worried that a player might call the credit card company and claim that they were ripped off and the banks would take their money away from the book, right?

Yes. (But the majority of US credit cards won't work anyway. I tried to use a cc to post up at Pinnacle over a year ago---Cards would not work). So........
