On a serious note I just don't see Wake scoring consistently enough to cover. Bottom line if the bears don't turn it over they'll cover. I think they received this memo and I have a hunch they'll execute it.

Summary: On the tree vs beaver game Moevao had to throw 54 passes do to their lack of rushing attack (averaged a mere 3.1 ypg). This eventually was their downfall as their QB had a couple costly interceptions. The trees even with their depleted offensive line were still able to run with ease as expected. Their horse ran for an average of 7.7 ypc.
As for the Bears well their still the Bears. I went against my instincts here and wagered against a team I'm high on (Wake). I now have to readjust and go back to the basics when it comes to plays like these. Thought their was some value on the home team but this clunker is evident that taking teams that can't win outright shouldn't be wagered on (unless there's huge value/big point spread naturally).
SC played the solid defense I expected from them. I also see Smelly needs to be the starter. I didn't get to watch this game at all given I was in Dolphin Stadium cheering on the "U" but from what I see on paper Beecher needs to sit.
The "U" as I have been telling everyone will start circling the wagons back to national prominence sooner rather than later. They had from what I counted 8 freshman play on defense in their first game. At least half of these guys in my opinion will end up playing on Sunday's. Jacory Harris who led the best high school team in the nation this past season (Remember that Northwestern team play vs the infamous Texas high school team that ended up being a rout) had a solid first outing. I hope he ends up being the starter by years end. The kid simply has the "it" factor.
