It is believed that the Suns would attempt to trade Stoudemire to the Eastern Conference, possibly to Toronto and New York, but nothing is concrete at this point. Regardless of if or where he gets traded, Stoudemire's value wouldn't change dramatically, though a change of scenery and some additional motivation could give him the additional boost his owners have been waiting for.

Wow, if he goes to Toronto as mentioned above as a possibility, he & Chris Bosh would form a dynamic duo underneath.....

bosh would be going the other way bro

na, his contract will be up after next season. they would want to keep him to try and sign another of the many free agents that year. also they have been looking to get rid of j. oneal since a month into the season.

Steve Kerr is ruining Phoenix. Took them from a top 6 team in the west to a pretty crappy team. Terry Porter as a coach is horrible (see defense in 3rd quarter their last game against San Antonio). No defense philosophy what so ever. Steve Kerr sticking with Porter is a very dumb move.

If they brought in a coach that actually knew how to coach, they would be scary good.

If Toronto got Amare it would be interesting to see who they'd part with. They may be inclined to trade Bosh to get something for him before he jets as a free agent. Then again, he might be motivated to stay if he can run with Amare.

Jermaine O'Neal and Andrea Bargnani to Phoenix? I don't know who Phoenix would accept for Amare other than Bosh, unless they want J.O.'s contract so they can eventually get some financial relief when it expires.

if bosh is gonna walk, toronto is gonna try and trade him to get some value for him since toronto won't be a place high up on the list for the free agents of 010

Amare owes

Amare owes Steve Nash millions...cuz without Nash
making him look all world a couple of seasons ago..he
would have never gotten that big fat contract. He is over rated does not rebound, soft on defense.Self centered...but a decent offensive force.
But then again Nash makes alot of players look good.

Amare Stoudemire - F/C - Suns

Amare Stoudemire appeared to throw Suns' captain Steve Nash under the bus on Friday, while also talking openly and preparing to play for a contender once he's traded.
"I’m not a captain so you can’t place too much of the blame on me," Stoudemire said. "It’s not my job to rally the troops and get everybody on board. It’s the captain’s job to do that." Stoudemire also talked about the possibility of being traded. "I know for sure wherever I go we’re definitely going to be playoff contenders. I bring a lot to the table." No deal is imminent, but it sounds like Amare is likely going to be heading out of Phoenix in the next couple weeks. Feb. 6 - 6:07 p.m. ET
