Man oh man, there are streaks, and then there are STREAKS...

I have lost _ELEVEN_ straight bets -- i.e., all of the wagers I made in the last two nights combined...and each for about a dime a pop. MLB and NBA, doesn't matter...I've gotten em ALL wrong 11 straight times. And this after another 0-for-5 er last Thursday night too.

Sorry to plague y'all with this...but as socially well-adjusted as I may be in other aspects of life, there's no one else I can vent to about the big losses....and while it won't break me...the past two days, coupled with last Thursday, have been an absolutely enormous hit.

It's gotten to the point that I EXPECT to lose whenever I put the $$ down. 11 straight losers. Can't get over that number. If you flipped a coin, the likelihood that you'd lose 11 in a row is 1 in 2048. Some odds...

Monday wasn't much better, as I dropped 5 out of 8 then too. Add it all up, and I'm an ugly 3 out of 19, with 11 straight losses and counting...

You guys ever get into one of these MASSIVE slumps, where nothing seems to be going right? I'm not chasing...all of the bets have been for roughly the same amount of $...am I crazy to think an 11-game winning streak is coming up in my near future? I could sure use one!

hey dogs, the good news is that at least you are a dime bettor, the bad news is that you may be a Royals, Rastros, or Rockies habitual?..consult The Shrink ASAP..I'm just teasing.

All endure such runs, though I must say your recent run is a crooked number.

May I suggest try following Northern Star amongst others to get off Go until back in flow?

I Would Like To See Your Plays For The Next Week , If You Wouldn't Mind Posting Them...

NOT CHASING PROVES YOU HAVEN'T LOST YOUR PERSPECTIVE, IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO KEEP PLAYING, I THINK YOU SHOULD .

Oh seriously now...tell me honestly...

is there one person here, ANYWHERE, who has gone through a massive string of losses and responded by hanging it up and quitting for a month?? It's one thing to be able to resist the urge to double up and chase your losses...quite another to be able to shut off the computer and say I'm gonna quit this for a while. As long as there's still $ to be played with...ya play...

OK, yes, I'm a sick degenerate...but has anyone here ever acted any differently?

If the losses keep coming in one after another over days it's always wise to shut down for awhile since it will be spoiling your daily mood and other aspects of your life and not to mention your handicapping as you will feel that whatever you play will lose.

I was 1-7 yesterday in bases til Zona hung on and made me 2-7. Could have been 1-8 quite easily. It happens when you are betting mostly dogs. Bad teams are bad, and do lose alot. No need to take a break. If you are betting within your means, and your selcetions have long term value, its just a bump in the road. Add up your gains at the end of the year bro, don't worry about a 10 or 20 game stretch. Its meaningless.

If it makes you feel any better, I've gone 3-19-2 in baseball totals since Monday morning.

Maybe you need to change your handle.

been there several times...at something like 1-12 or so...while i do not wager near your amount..the worth of the wager is just as important...i have made no sports wagers in 2 months...at some point you just have to say screw-it and hang it up for awhile...as whenever the beat wears thin on you...last second baskets...9th inning 4-6 run beaters...whatever...i just don't have the stomach for it when it gets to these types of bad beats...
