as well as they are playing this year I am going to lay a little money on the game. It would lay more but with Penn State losing there 9 last games against Michigan I am a little worried with such a high spread. Michigan has Penn States number and will put up a fight but loss.

Yes this is true but look at the directions of the two teams. Michigan got beat AT home by a Toledo team that got whacked by Florida International at home.

Michigan is playing a kid at QB that isn't ready yet. Penn St is by far the fastest defense is he going to face this season. I hope people bet on Michigan for the "penn st has lost the last 9" reasoning and push that number down.

Joe Pa understands that this is a great opp to get to a national championship game and making every win impressive is important.

This is Penn St or dont' make a play on the game.

Call me crazy, but I think there's value in taking Michigan in this spot. I have this game capped at Penn St. -16. Here's my reasoning to why I think this line is inflated; Penn St. beatdown Wisky last week. However I don't believe Wisky "showed up" to that game b/c of the close last minute loss to Ohio st. the week before. Michigan lost to Toledo which is a mild surprise given that the Wolverines lost to App St. last year. With Ohio St. on deck, I believe Penn St. will be happy with a 17 pt win.

it's gotten to the point where if penn st scores 34 points it's disappointing... mich defensive front four pretty good... no shame in penn st winning 31-10, 35-13

Trent...Your being generous in giving Michigan 13 points in this game.

Michigan could easily get shut out here. The talent differential when Michigan's offense takes on Penn State' defense is immense. I don't see SCUM moving the ball at all. And I think Penn State's recent history of losing to Michigan will motivate them to run up the score some, which is always a concern when trying to cover a big spread.

So far Penn St. is covering everything in front of them. I didn't think they would cover against Oregon St, Illinois (depending on the line), Wisky, and now Michigan. This shouldn't be close at all. The one thing I'm worried about though is Michigan turns the ball over more than any team in the Big10...probably more than any team in the country. With OSU on the horizon and if Michigan just takes care of the football, this game could be a 10-17 pt PSU victory.

Aw screw it...Threet will throw 2-3 picks, they will fumble punt and kick off returns, and Penn St. will take them to the woodshed for fucking them the past 9 years. This is not even the over rated mediocre Michigan anymore, this team is completely lost. Penn St. or nothing!!!!!! :pope:

Right on. PSU has the tools to blow out Michigan, but it sets up poorly for the Nits. Pass this game. There are many better ones out there.

Im on PSU here. If OSU were better I could see PSU looking ahead, but they are playing very disciplined and methodical ball so far this year. As for not winning there in a decade, Mizz had not won in Lincoln in 31 yrs and didnt stop them from mudstomping Nebraska. I can see 34-7 or something along that line.

You guys are pointing out that Michigan has won 9 straight times and you STILL think this team will "look ahead" and not play well? Uh...no...This game is huge for PSU because of the history...and they are going to want to blow them out of the water...Huge home night game under the lights with a ton of potential recruits at the game...they will not pull up til well into the 4th. IMO..only way PSU doesnt cover is if they turn the ball over 3 or 4 times.

You make a good point there that it is NOT a lookahead. Will Joe Pa run it up?

Exactly, no way Penn State looks past a team that has won 9 straight against them. I continue to be amazed at some of the things and reasoning I read on this board.

This is not Michigan folks,

Illinois has beat them 5 times in 50 years and they blew them out at the Big House. The MAC teams have never beat them and this year they loose to Toledo. My point is throw history out the window in this game. If anything, history is the main reason PSU plays hard for 4 quarters...
