How is this possible? Penn rolls here, right? This line seems very off to me, I thought they would be a 7-11 point favorite, but 2? Anybody follow either of these teams or maybe the MAAC. I know Penn and they gave Wisconsin and St. Joe's all they could handle and beat St. Johns and Manhattan to win the ECAC Holiday Festival at MSG. They've won 4 in a row. Rider got blown out by Manhattan and lost to Drexel by 21 (Penn beat them by 6). This looks like an absolute burial, and it looks way too easy, but how could they set a line like this as a trap? Who bets these teams? Penn may be a safe play for 5 dimes.

Not that I follow these teams, but just my two cents. These are the only teams I do bet. Small teams, home dogs, against public opinions. My computer actually has Rider winning by 2. I probably will not bet it as I like atleast a 7 point differential between my prediction and the spread, and Rider only has 3 division one home games and I like each team to have atleast four or more games of the home/away situation in question. Either way there are quite a few stats that point towards Rider, not to mention that fact that using one or two common opponents as a reference point in College Basketball is more or less suicide. So unless you have a bankroll the size a small 3rd World nation, I wouldn't think that 5 dimes would be very safe bet on any public road favorite, but if you do bet it good luck.

I also wanted to jump on Penn at first glance, but Schiffner has been way too inconsistent with his shooting.Rider also has the 7 footer Castleberry inside.Still might take Penn, though.

Jeff Schiffner is may seem to do it when you watch him but he is not as good as you think. I played against him in highschool and he didn't do anything against us but his team continued to roll. He is a winner and finds a way to win. We could double him and hold him to under double digits but he would end up with 14 assists and find a way to win. He's a great player and will find a way to win against a weak Rider team.
