I think the Pens have good value on this one, I got them at +120 on the ML... They just lost 2 in a row, this is a good chance to bounce back against the struggling Bruins. What do you guys think? Is +120 a trap? lol :p

I agree. It looks like a trap to me as well. It'll be almost 2 weeks since the Pens have been home when they play Jersey Friday night. After tonight, they'll be happy to be home in front of their home town fans. I haven't really dug into capping this one yet but on the surface...sure seems like they want you to take the champs +120. And the Bruins broke out a little bit against Buffalo the other night.

Is Under 5 at +140 to far fetched to play or is under 5 1/2 -125 the way to go?

pens are really banged up and lost another key player in letang last game.

malkin
kennedy
gonch
letang
talbot

two top four D
two very important wingers
and a top player in the nhl

thats why you see +120
wingers are being forced to play at opposite positions and our only true PP QB is gogo who is pretty inexperienced at the NHL level even though he has played well.

BTW the PP has been absolutly horrible since gonch has been out now add letangs recent injury and its not looking good

Leaning Boston myself. Just a few facts for ya to chew on.....GL.

**The favorite is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.

**The Pens are 10-23-1 vs Boston in the last 34 meetings.

**Penguins are 6-15 in the last 21 meetings in Boston.

Just picked this up from a Bruins blog.

Marc-Andre Fleury was the first goalie off the ice, indicating he'll get the start tonight against Tim Thomas.

* Up front, Sidney Crosby will skate with Ruslan Fedotenko and Matt Cooke. Chris Kunitz and Bill Guerin, Crosby's usual linemates, will be centered by Jordan Staal.

stay away from betting Under 5.0

never take an under at an even 5.. even at +140, it's not a good total to bet imo..
you're giving up a full goal for 65 cents, since you need 4 or less to win, instead of 5.
when you're looking at a 3-2, 4-1, 3-1 type game, a full goal is HUGE.. personally, i'd rather take the goal and lay the juice.

there are too many ways for you to either lose or push this bet..

5.0 was a bettable under in the old NHL with the clutching and holding, and only with certain matchups and goalies... but not now.

very good point globulous, not to mention the dreaded empty netter at 3-2 with 30 seconds left.
